Rita Ora has been chosen the face of Superga for the spring summer 2013 season. The superstar replaces Alexa Chung, who has represented Superga since 2011 but who needed to give up her role as brand ambassador due to US TV commitments. The star was extremely excited by the proposal and admits the new gig suits her personality, exactly as the brand anticipated: 'It's amazing, I'm excited. I love their brand and they know that I love wearing flats when I perform. It's a great thing to be a part of and fits very well with my vibe.'

At the same time, the star felt the pressure that comes with following in Alexa Chung's footsteps (pun intended), however she decided to inject her true personality into the new ads nonetheless: "I was looking at Alexa's pictures thinking, "She looks so great, what if I don't do as great as her?" but it's a completely different shoot. It's more about how my style is.' The Kosovo-born beauty did a great job and the new Rita Ora for Superga ads are definitely fun to watch.

It turns out, the British fashion icon is quite happy with the label's choice. Brand representatives stated: "[Alexa is] happy that the brand will continue with such a talented new signing. We chose Rita for the role as she has shaken up the fashion world with her street-luxe signature style." Indeed, the Italian label made a great choice, the star simply shines in front of the camera.
