Famous jewelry designer Pamela Love teamed up with Nine West in order to create a limited edition boot collection. The exclusive pieces are designed for and inspired by the wanderlust traveler and feature signature Pamela Love metal work. “I’ve always wanted to try my hand at designing shoes, and Nine West was a great match for me,” Love told ELLE.com. “They were totally receptive to all of my ideas. I think that the product turned out so beautifully and so true to my brand. They are something I am extremely proud of.”
Love says that her designs had as main source of inspiration a traveler riding a motorcycle through the southwest. “You can really tell a person from their shoes. You can look at a person’s shoes and know a lot about them,” Pamela explains. “When I think of the Pamela Love girl, she’s probably not wearing six-inch heels or strappy sandals,” Love reveals. “She’s sort of tough, sort of fashion-forward, sort of practical. She wants a pair of shoes that she can wear to death and beat to the ground.”
The Pamela Love for Nine West limited edition collection, featuring western buckle boots in cognac, clay and black, debuts in Nine West stores and Liberty London this month. Oh, and the captoe metalwork on each pair perfectly reflects the designer’s rustic, vintage accessories aesthetic. Each pair comes in a box featuring a logo illustrated by Love’s husband, Matthew Nelson. Still, until they hit shelves, these beauties are already available for pre-order on ninewest.com.
