It is more than true that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, the photos in the O’2ND spring 2011 campaign are a good example in this sense. These images are so romantic, just like they were telling a fairytale, with a special atmosphere created through amazing details, flawless characters and gorgeous clothing. The unique concept manages to perfectly catch the femininity and magic feel of the designs.
Little ladies Sigrid Agren, Julija Steponaviciute and Molly Smith are lensed by famous Tim Walker in a campaign for the Korean fashion brand O’2ND in a mesmerizing background created by set designer Simon Costin. The girls were styled by Kate Phelan, the hair was done by Malcolm Edwards and the makeup by Sam Bryant.
The result of the campaign is more than astonishing and delightful, all the elements being very well thought and chosen in order to complete the overall view in an excellent way. Despite its visible simplicity and purity, the campaign has something that makes us think about impeccability and perfection. And the clothes and accessories play the most important part.
For the images in this campaign, Tim Walker photographed the girls in different postures that exude naiveté and a certain distinctive femininity through immaculate outfits and sweet details. Soft lace, impressive embroidery, cascading ruffles and adorable ribbons represent key elements of a collection that doesn’t need an unusual ad campaign or special effects, as the clothing pieces speak for themselves. Pleated skirts, ladylike items, little white dresses adorned with beautiful embellishments and adorable floral prints, or romantic blouses are girly, yet so chic and sophisticated.
Completing these frames, the well-chosen accessories, spice up and add that extra-creative touch to the O’2ND spring 2011 ad campaign. Accessories and details that seem rather idealistic, having a playful, fairy-looking vibe are essential parts in the campaign, such as delicate, cute headbands, flowers and romantic hats. As for the shoes, white flats and high-heeled ones are feminine and cute. Not to mention the oh-so-delicious apple-shaped handbags with their one-of-a-kind design that makes them nearly impossible to resist.
