When it comes to dressing the ‘young’ elite of Hollywood, nobody does it better than Marc Jacobs, as we easily discovered at the New York Fashion Week.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection is an explosion of colors. He definitely made the ’80s come back in a great style.
The designer imagined 60 different looks, and I mean really different, even from each other. This collection was extremely eclectic, as each model had a different hair style and distinct make up.
Nevertheless, this strange mix was deeply appreciated by fashion critics and press. For his fall collection, Marc Jacobs had in mind vintage dresses; he had fun with baggy shorts, and belted oversize sports jackets, union suits, and pointy shoulders.
Everything was just wild, but no one expected less from the hip designer. In the middle of neon bright coats and dresses, he looked shiny, happy and calm. His collection rediscovered a certain ’80s feel, but he succeeded to create a new image.
With his hiking boots, striped tights, woolly socks and scarves, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection is a peculiar reminiscence of mountaineers, feminine and sexy in the same time. Everything was the result of a genius composition of artistic vision, sculptured designs and flair.
