Nicole Richie is preparing to launch House of Harlow's 1960 first handbag collection this July, so ckeck out the preview of the collection so you can select your favorites and hunt for your pick when it first hits the shelves!
Nicole Richie has come a long way
since her days starring on the reality TV series “The Simple Life”,
now becoming a proud mother with an enviable figure and already a
style icon. After discovering her passion for fashion, Nicole Richie developed her
own brand, House of Harlow 1960 which has been a huge success. Now,
Nicole Richie is preparing to expand her range of products by
launching the brand's first handbag collection.
Accessories play a huge part in
fashion and style, being capable of completely transforming the
look of an outfit in an instant. Nicole Richie is definitely a fan
of handbags, and her style is written all over her upcoming
collection. Bohemian-chic is the style that characterizes Nicole
and so prepare to be dazzled by boho-style handbags as well as elegant clutches that
suit women with a powerful personality.
The House of Harlow 1960 handbag collection will feature 14
fabulous pieces which vary in style, design as well as price,
ranging from $150 for a small hard-cased clutch to $625 for a pony
hair boho bag. Apparently, launching a handbag collection has
always been a target, so this hasn't been a decision made
on-the-spot. Nicole told WWD that:
“Handbags have always been a part of the equation since we first
launched the House of Harlow 1960 brand. We just needed to make
sure all of the components were aligned before setting foot into
that category. The collection is quite small in terms of the styles
we are launching with. I wanted to make sure that each piece is
special and then be able to grow it slowly and organically season
after season.”
The designs vary from casual to formal, meaning you'll benefit
from diversity, which is a must these days as fashion has expanded
its range widely. Bohemian-chic styles have made a huge comeback
and it seems that they are planning to stick around for quite a
while, being a trend that combines casualness with glamour and
uniqueness.
Apparently, Richie is trying to keep her fan's desire in mind when
she is designing and tries to make her pieces as universal as
possible so they can fit anyone. She says:
“When I design, I always try to design pieces that are universal,
meaning anyone can wear and carry it. At this stage of my design
process, I really try to gather direct feedback from my customers,
whether through in-store personal appearances, my Web site, Twitter
or Facebook. It really helps me when they provide me with their
desires, feedback and comments on what they are looking for, so I
can try my best to cater to their needs, yet stay true to the
brand’s identity,”
The collection will be available for purchase from mid-July.
