The wide array of spring/summer 2013 campaigns continues with the new Tom Ford spring 2013 ads. So far, we’ve seen that high end labels have been fairly consistent with campaigns but for Tom Ford things are a little different. In a good way. Fans of the brand will certainly remember how many ads from the past few years fell in the NSFW category. It became some sort of a trademark for the label. The spring/summer 2013 campaign shows a more toned down approach of the sexiness the label has injected into each campaign and abandons some of the shock value in favor of a more elegant display of options.
Models Karlina Kate Caune and Simon Van Meervenne bring the brand’s new vision to life and show us the hottest new offerings from the Tom Ford spring 2013 collection. Without the entire controversy surrounding the campaign the entire focus falls on the clothes themselves and, we must confess, we like it much better this way. If, so far, the focus has been on vibrant bold tones and complex abstract patterns for the most part, the minimalistic approach adopted by the label feels fresh, dramatic and interesting. With Tom Ford himself behind the lens, it couldn’t be any other way, could it?
Want to impress in the new season? You can’t go wrong with black! The multitude of fab ensembles with different accents demonstrate how much this elegant yet dramatic tone can impact the overall look. The looks have a distinct warrior allure at times and a sophisticated touch on the other hand. The balanced blend between prude and promiscuous is best explained by the designer himself who told Grazia Daily that:“If you look too chaste, too buttoned up, you will always look a little dull, but if you go all-out sexy it can look perverse. This collection is about finding the balance.” The new campaign show how easy it can be to achieve this seemingly complex equilibrium.
Each important detail that makes up the outfit is beautifully emphasized and accessories have a crucial role in defining the seductive new season looks presented. Gorgeous eye-wear accessories, oversized statement bags and edgy sandals with a powerful glam touch are the options that best fit the vision adopted by the luxury label for the upcoming months. We don’t know about you, but we are completely seduced by the fabulous new offerings.
