London, bohemian, urban, androgynous, traveler, casual, glam, adventurous. What do these words have in common? Apparently, nothing. Still, they perfectly describe the latest River Island collection for autumn 2011. An impressive mixture of styles, patterns and colors that put together create an implausibly alluring line of uber-stylish and affordable pieces. Fashion-forward yet without losing its uniqueness, the collection has everything you need in order to complete covetable combos.
The River Island autumn 2011 ad campaign was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth who managed to capture some of the brand’s key looks for the season ahead. The models bundle up in cozy, winter-appropriate pieces, but they also go seriously glam in seventies-inspired ensembles. Hustle, the label’s homage to this fashion decade, features chic dresses, faux fur scarves, skirts, jaw-dropping jumpsuits, as well as towering wedges and feathery bags.
The River Island autumn winter 2011-2012 collection also brings casual looks with a glam, androgynous touch. There are super-polished boyfriend blazers, quintessence of the London boy sophistication, and an irresistible parade of mannish pieces, such as boxy shirts, pleat-front pants, bow neck ties, jackets and boots. If you are the adventurous type of girl, River Island shows you how to layer up pieces in an assortment of prints and textures. Blanket capes, faux fur shawls, Aztec prints, fringed bags, denim hotpants, bright accessories, parkas, ponchos, leggings and vests are important items worth investing in.
