The new Rihanna for River Island fall 2013 campaign is out and it’s every bit as chic as her fans expected it to be. The ‘We Found Love’ singer decided to focus on sporty pieces with a hint of urban glamor and a few punk vibes. Naturally, the star used her own style preferences as a starting point for the 80-piece collection that will soon hit the stores. After all, this is exactly what her most devoted female fans expect from her. “I literally designed everything I want to wear, exactly how I want to wear it. We’re giving it a New York street vibe,” she stated.
The fall 2013 Rihanna for River Island campaign, lensed by Lachlan Bailey features models Ji Hye Park, Nyasha Matonhodze, Milou Van Groesen and Tati Cotliar. Though Riri herself did the styling for her spring/summer 2013 campaign, this time she preferred to supervise everything instead, letting the task of styling in the hands of Mel Ottenberg and putting her personal stylist, Yusef Williams, in charge of hair styling. The bold new looks the campaign brings into the spotlight definitely echo the singer’s eclectic style, highlighting some of the season’s coolest trends as well.
Metallic accents, cool military-inspired pieces, long skirts, midriff-baring tops or combat boots are just some of suggestions offered by the UK based retailer for the new season for those who want to bring a trendy allure to their new season wardrobe. The star’s personal touch was seen on some pieces more than on others. The G4Life slogan spotted on several items and the underwear designs with her name written on them are the ones that reflect best the star’s personality.
Fortunately, the star decided not to make her fans wait too long to get their hands on the fashion designs shown in the Rihanna for River Island fall 2013 campaign. These creations will hit stores starting with September 12. However, only a part of the 80 piece line will be put for sale next month. The second part of the new line will hit the stores only in November.
