Stylist Rachel Zoe's collection seen at New York Fashion Week is characterized by an English equestrian flare with a '70s-inspired touch. Check it out!
The latest Rachel Zoe fall 2013 collection showcased at
New York Fashion Week featured a riot of wearable and
uber-versatile goodies. The designer said that the line is "about
this amazing '70s equestrian girl who gets really tough. She starts
her day sexy and sultry and all of a sudden, she's tough and goes
dancing. It's tough and androgynous and cool. Tons of leather and
suede and grommets. I'm super-proud of it."
So, yes, Rachel Zoe's fall 2013 collection is filled with pieces
that bring, once again, a special '70s nostalgia. "I am who I am,
it's hard to change that much,"Rachel Zoe said backstage. "Still,
with this collection I've changed the most." Predictable or not,
Zoe's offerings came with a twist and are given a slightly sharper
flare. The designer's New York Fashion Week show opened with a look
having an androgynous feeling that teamed a pair of jodhpurs, an
oversized cardigan, a leather top and masculine-inspired flats.
Cool and chic!
Already known for her '70s aesthetic, Rachel Zoe toughens up a
little her approach for the fall 2013 collection. The line includes
flared pants, structured blazers, baggy leather pants, short and
clean dresses, sweaters with sequined sleeves, three-piece suits,
bomber jackets, double-breasted coats, and an array of accessories
to complete the outfits. So, there were floppy hats, leather
gloves, clutches, and bucket bags. As for footwear, there were
ankle boots, pumps and flats.
Reflecting a rather boyish side of the Rachel Zoe girl, the fall
2013 collection has a rock-chic touch. Mixing different textures
and details, the designer manages to deliver a practical line that
features mostly neutral hues like black, gray, caramel brown,
cream, and navy. Whether you're looking for a casual, daytime combo
or for something rather formal, the new Rachel Zoe 2013 fall
collection can definitely be a reliable source of inspiration.
