The Miu Miu fall 2013 campaign shot by well known duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin brings many well known names into the spotlight. The label focused on a dynamic campaign to bring a clear perspective of the new season’s hottest looks and enlisted a long list of models: Victoria’s Secret stunner Adriana Lima, Marina Nery, Hind Sahli, Anne Verhallen, Lindsey Wixson, Katlin Aas, Emily DiDonato, Daphne Groeneveld and even Georgia May Jagger to emphasize the defining style perspective of the new season. The result? A fun set of ads that have a classy allure and a subtle hint of mystery.
The interesting thing about the new Miu Miu campaign for fall 2013 is the somber background that prevails despite the many cheerful contrasts and glamorous accents that stand out, but we suspect this is exactly the thing that makes the new campaign so interesting. The allure isn’t a sad one, though if we consider that in the accompanying film made for the new collection each of the models is dancing on the tunes of The Meters’ ‘Hand Clapping Song’ and holds a sign with their name.
The models channel a classic and sophisticated era in fashion and look gorgeous in a myriad of quirky styled feminine outfits. Stripes and polka dots bring a girly vibe to fab overcoats. Amazing metallic accents, fur and colorful accessories are just some of the alternatives that the new line brings into the spotlight. The great thing about the new Miu Miu ensembles is that there’s nothing dull about them: from coats to tights, everything is viewed through quirky lenses and with sophistication in mind.
Though the Miu Miu fall 2013 campaign adheres to many of the principles we’ve seen over the past season, it never feels dull or uninteresting as the luxury brand always knows how to bring a sense of uniqueness that distinguishes it from other similar brands. The many inspirational options included in the new Miu Miu ad campaign definitely manage to ensure ‘boring’ will never describe the label’s campaigns.
