Colorful, sporty and completely surprising, the latest Kenzo collection has definitely made an impression on fashion critics due to the rather unexpected perspective shift. Take a look at some of the most interesting style options from the spring 2012 collection.
Miss the color blocking trend that was one of the hottest
fashion trends for
spring/summer 2011? Then you should definitely check out the spring
2012 Kenzo collection to
spot new interpretations of this trend and many other style trends
you might like to adopt in the new season. With strong tones and
creative layering techniques, the brand presented a fairly eclectic
and daring set of outfits at the Paris Fashion Week.
Despite the fairly noticeable casual vibe of the looks presented,
the source of inspiration is not actually casual attire options:
“We went to upstate New York a lot, so we really were inspired by
this idea of wearing work wear,” designers Humberto Leon and Carol
Lim declared for WWD. The ultra fitted clothes were not a big hit
at the Paris Fashion Week and the
brand doesn't make an exception making pieces such as flared pants,
airy skirts or slightly boxy jackets must haves for the warm months
of 2012.
Hottest hues for spring/summer according to Kenzo? Red and green
combos, various shades of blue, yellow, beige, orange, khaki or
light grey. In terms of accessories, geometric shaped handbags, retro
sunglasses, and colorful and fairly comfortable shoes and hats are the main highlights
from the collection. Daring, yet maintaining a conservative
structure, the latest collection signed by the two designers is a
great example that supports the idea that the brand is growing more
and more in popularity.
