The new Julien Macdonald fall 2013 collection showed little restraint when it came to putting sophistication in various forms on the spotlight. In fact the designer is famous for his amazing looks which cater to bold women with an eye for glamorous pieces: “She’s glamorous, but a party girl. It’s 5 or 6 in the morning. Her hair’s grungy, her eye makeup is smudged, she’s had a cocktail—she doesn’t care!”
The designer had an amazing source of inspiration to fulfill the demands of his clients as he stated: “I always do things that make me happy and reflect my life. Last year I went to Las Vegas and I had an amazing time. Everybody is dressed up there; everyone is a superstar; everyone parties night and day…in fact, there is no day, only night! Viva Las Vegas!” With such insights and creative perspective in mind it comes as no surprise that there was little room for casual or even daywear in the new Julien Macdonald fall 2013 collection.
Playing with both metallic tones and amazing bold ones, the designer brought a myriad of amazing dresses that instantly captured the spotlight. Fab cutouts, bold necklines, sheer touches, intricate embroideries, amazing intricate details, fringes and even feathers transformed the looks into veritable showstoppers making the collection the most glamorous one spotted at the London Fashion Week fall 2013 so far. The main requirement for sporting one of the label’s designs besides the right budget? Confidence and lots of it, as the new designs are created for the girl that thrives in the spotlight and desires to become the center of attention every single time.
Though elegance and refinement are immediately noticeable in the new Julien Macdonald fall 2013 collection , the new season offerings had a fun rebellious vibe that is not often seen with these types of offerings. The grungy touches, evident mainly through the fun hairstyles and makeup choices were one more detail that made the new fall 2013 offerings feel one-of-a kind and intriguing.
