Scarlett Johansson represented Mango for the past four seasons. Now, the Spanish brand decided it was time to bring a new vibe and spice up things a little with one of the hottest models of the moment, Isabeli Fontana. The sexy Brazilian supermodel and Victoria’s Secret Angel has been named Mango’s new face and will replace the actress for the retailer’s upcoming campaign for fall 2011.
In a press release, the Spanish brand explains and says that Isabeli’s natural beauty was the main reason behind their choice. “The firm has chosen the beautiful model as its image campaign because of her extraordinary beauty and naturalness. Her style represents the ideal woman that Mango wishes to dress: an urban, working and independent woman.”
This is not Isabeli’s first collaboration with the company. The 27-year-old model also modeled in Mango’s November 2010 runway show for its Spring/Summer 2011 collection and she was also featured in Mango’s spring/summer 2011 lookbook lensed by renowned photographer Terry Richardson. Fontana will star in Mango’s Fall 2011 ads. Besides, she will model in the fashion show set to launch their new collection.
Isabeli Fontana was born in Curitiba, Brazil and she started her modeling career when she was really young. She appeared in numerous campaigns for legendary fashion houses such as Roberto Cavalli, Balenciaga, Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Hermès, Missoni, Moschino, Armani Jeans, and Oscar de la Renta.
Mango has always chosen beautiful women like Penélope and Mónica Cruz, Milla Jovovich, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Inés Sastre or Claudia Schiffer for their ad campaigns. Rumors say that the famous Spanish retailer, which counts 2.000 stores in 105 countries, has also made a special commercial featuring supermodel Kate Moss for the brand’s Fall 2011 collection.
