Okay, so did someone just say sartorial rebellion? Oh yes, a little fashion boldness is absolutely mandatory! Wake up your warm-weather season wardrobe choosing some oh-so-fab and edgy goodies as the ones spotted in the latest For Love & Lemons ‘About a Girl’ spring 2013 collection. Shun all stereotypes, try a clash of color and patterns and be the type of girl who doesn’t follow trends but she makes them herself.
The famous brand’s spring collection is described as visually ethereal and beautiful managing to perfectly capture the delicate innocence and awkward essence of the teen angst in the 70’s. “With a somber and unique sexuality, each garment translates through a natural and gentle femininity. In a comatose state of mind, the collection leaves you with an addiction….a desire for more,” the designers wrote on the For Love & Lemons blog.
Speaking about their everyday source of inspiration, the brand’s founders and designers, Gillian Mahin and Laura Hall, said in an interview with The Blogture that, “Our fabulous friends, and having good times always keeps us constantly inspired!”
Model Ashley Smith strikes a pose for the new For Love & Lemons ‘About a Girl’ spring 2013 collection rocking some to-die-for pieces from the brand’s latest collection. Girly dresses, flirty skirts, flowing maxis, sexy shorts and tanks, ruffles, sheer, romantic prints and breezy textures… We couldn’t ask for more for our wardrobe. Asked about where they find all those amazing materials, the designers told The Blogture that, “We mostly outsource them to other countries, we find really beautiful unique fabrics that way. As for trims, we create them ourselves and have them made.”
So, if you’re looking for some super duper pieces for your dressing, you should check out the latest For Love & Lemons line! We’re extremely happy that the brand exists as whenever in need of unique and wow-worthy items, we know that they are a constant provider of all-things-cool and outstanding. But how did the two friends end up becoming partners? “We’ve been best friends and in business together since our lemonade stands in elementary school, and have pretty much been attached at the hip since. We always wanted to own a legit business together, just as soon we knew we could handle it. We chose design because it was something that inspired us, and we’re passionate about it,” Mahin and Laura revealed in an interview with refinery29.com.
