New York based designer David Hart, known for his uber-stylish men's accessories sold worldwide at luxury retailers, announced that he will present his first full menswear collection during New York Fashion Week 2013.
With New York Fashion Week 2013 quickly approaching, we were
eager to see who are the designers that will be showcasing their
over-the-top creations this year. David Hart is a new name on the
fashion week list but it is certainly to watch. The New York based
designer announced that he will present his first full menswear
collection this season.
As a winner of the Fashion Group International’s Frankie Welch Award, David attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. After graduating, he worked alongside famous American designers including Tommy Hilfiger, Anna Sui, and Ralph Lauren.
David started by making men's accessories which were sold worldwide at luxury retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstom, and United Arrows, Japan. His current namesake collection, David Hart, is a further extension of the brand in response to a growing clientele demand for additional furnishings.
David Hart's collection for 2010 was made from Thomas Mason cotton shirting fabric instead of Hart's usual wool or silk. “You have the option of pressing your tie and having a crisp, neat look,” Hart explained. “Or, for a guy who wears his oxford more wrinkled - maybe he even sleeps in it - you can do the same with your tie.”
Every single piece in David Hart's line is made using the finest
materials from across the globe and handcrafted with an
unparalleled attention to detail. There are classic fits with a
modern flare and made in exclusive fabrics and prints to create
looks for men who value quality, presentation, and craftsmanship.
Each garment is treated as a collaboration between the designer and
wearer, creating signature key pieces that can be incorporated to
any wardrobe and styled as desired.
At the New York Fashion Week fall 2013, David Hart will showcase his menswear collection at New Museum on February 7 starting 5PM.
