The Chanel resort 2014 collection presented recently offered a multitude of exciting options worth drawing inspiration from. Karl Lagerfeld might be involved in a lot of projects, yet it seems like multitasking has not hurt its ability to deliver elegant choices which set the tone in the industry. Some designer might view resort collections as less important compared to the fall and spring launches, but not the Karl. The latest Chanel resort collection is extensive and brings elegant yet uber fun outfits which definitely capture the label’s essence.
Since the label usually ties its presentations to the exotic location they’re inspired from, it wasn’t hard to guess which city was done that sparked the designer’s creativity. It was Singapore. Though the focus on black and white tone definitely emphasized the Asian culture inspiration, the new season alternatives felt surprisingly modern. The masculine influences softened with well chosen feminine details, the inclination towards abstract motifs and patterns and the polished, elegant allure proved the perfect choice for the new season.
The cosmopolitan flair of the new Chanel 2014 resort collection was instantly noticeable. The combos might have been relatively simple, yet the great variety of motifs and textural accents sure added complexity and ensured the new season options instantly attracts attention. Though one might not be able to guess from the amalgam of spectacularly polished look created, the label included plenty of gorgeous versatile alternatives which can be part of many refined outfits, whether we are talking about flirty yet classy dresses, fab blazers or even summer jackets.
Though for the most part, the outfits included in the new Chanel resort collection for 2014 were complex enough to attract attention without too much styling, there were plenty of occasions when the accessories amped up the elegance of the looks. Gorgeous long pearl necklaces, classy pointy toe pumps or waist enhancing belts complemented the ensembles nicely. For an extra dose of edginess, a bold ‘do and a fab makeup style proved the perfect choice.
