Finally, Paris Couture Fashion Week made its debut and the label who opened the curtains to this majestic show is none other than Atelier Versace. For the new Atelier Versace spring 2013 couture collection Donatella Versace opted for ultra feminine lines and bright colors infused through somber, monochrome tones, combo that seems to combine perfectly artsy couturier lines with a modern burst of pigments, perfect to steal the spotlight at any event.

Although the couture is all about displaying the high craftsmanship skills of the fashion houses, critiques didn’t expect Donatella Versace to go in this direction with the latest Atelier Versace spring 2013 couture collection. The designs created were all about femininity, originality and luxury and these details helped the collection be labeled as divine. Donatella Versace’s inspiration notes for the collection were architectural details and the contrast between glass and steel constructions, so she must have found some sensual details in this theme as the designs ooze sexiness and style!

The collection made its debut featuring dark black and black-grey masculine-inspired suits, dresses and deux-pieces which created a feeling of somberness, but to everyone’s surprise, the designs started to go brighter and bolder, through the use of gold, neon yellow, lavender, pink and hot pink tones which created a visual spectacle especially in combination with the brand’s sexy-chic designs.

Judging by the collection, the dress is the ultimate fashion item to own. Thankfully, there are plenty of sizzling designs to choose from: stylish cut out-form fitting midis, sexy soft-flaring above the knee cut dresses or sexy chiffon minis and high slit gowns that seemed perfect for divas ready for a red carpet event. Asymmetric details and one shoulder flapper-girl inspired designs helped underline the collection’s vintage-to-modern appeal, meaning the designs were meant to target women with opposite style preferences.

Sophistication and luxury at their finest are two words that best describe the collection and the 24 karat gold pinstripes, crystal applications, fur and python fabrics only came to reinforce our word choice, so if you’re searching for stylish fashion designs that have that couture vibe but still manage to be fun and flashy, Atelier Versace’s spring couture 2013 collection is definitely for you, so check out the designs and tell us which one’s made it to your dream dress list!
