Jourdan Dunn, Bambi Northwood-Blythe, Ataui Deng and Tao Okamoto rock some of RiRi’s designs for River Island. Check it out!
All of the pieces featured in the Rihanna for River Island summer 2013 campaign and a whole lot more will be available later this month as part of the songstress’ collection for the famous brand. In a behind-the-scenes video, Rihanna said that, “I wanted to make clothes for fat days; stuff that I want to wear. I was being selfish. Hopefully, my friends and people who shop at River Island will have the same taste.”
The gorgeous 25-year-old singer also revealed that what she was looking for was a gansta-type of florals. Speaking to Adam Selman, RiRi described floral prints as being “very timeless”, “flirty and fun”. However, the ones she used for her River Island collection were rather “gangsta, still a little muted, like you could wear it with rock ‘n’ roll stuff.” How cool are those?
So, have a look at the Rihanna for River Island summer 2013 campaign and discover some of the key pieces you’ll be able to find in all the selected stores. “I just wanted stuff that I want to wear because, at the end of the day, that’s what got me into designing, seeing things on the rack that were great, but it could have been a little more ‘me’, or fit me a little better, or be a little longer, be a little shorter, or have a little more sex appeal, or a little less sex appeal,” the singer said.
Also, in order to celebrate the launch of the Rihanna for River Island summer collection on May 25th, River Island teamed up with Live Nation to give lucky fans the chance to see Rihanna live on her Diamonds World Tour.
