The 2016 Grammys kicked of with lots of style at the Staples Center, Los Angeles on Monday February 15). The red carpet and Grammys dresses 2016 were just as fabulous as the Grammys show filled with over 20 amazing performances (except Rihanna’s which was canceled due to bronchitis, quite the disappointment), including some of the coolest collaborations to date.

Red carpet events are the best indicators for new and upcoming fashion, makeup and hairstyle trends and we can expect many to be replicated on the high street. Let’s see who rocked the red carpet best and who were the best and worst dressed at the Grammys 2016.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed in Black: Adele

Songstress Adele made black gowns her red carpet staple. She hit the Grammys red carpet wearing a sequined floor-length Givenchy dress which she paired with black pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. We like!

For her Grammys performance she changed into similar style burgundy dress, also from Givenchy.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed Model: Alessandra Ambrosio

VS model Alessandra Ambrosio went rock-chic for the 2016 Grammys red carpet. She chose to wear a black Versace gown with Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed: Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez looked stunning in her sequined blue Calvin Klein Collection gown that she wore to the 2016 Grammy Awards. She added Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed in a Pantsuit: Zendaya

Zendaya Grammys 2016

Pantsuits made quite the comeback on this year’s red carpet and Zendaya chose to rock one from Dsquared2 for the Grammys 2016 red carpet. She paired the look with a bold mullet haircut and accessorized the look with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

Grammys 2016 Best Bowie Tribute: Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga paid tribute to her idol David Bowie with her Grammys outfits, which were custom-made by Marc Jacobs. The heavily-embroidered gowns were stunning renditions of Bowie’s signature looks.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed in White: Chrissy Teigen

Mom-to-be Chrissy Teigen showed off her growing bump in a beautiful cape gown by Yousef Al-Jasmi. She accessorized with Stuart Weitzman heels, along with an Amanda Pearl clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Grammys 2016 Best Dressed: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift did at the Grammys what Demi Lovato’s failed to do: she went for a bold look, took risks and hit up the red carpet in an outfit which is going to be talked about for years. The two piece Atelier Versace look is accessorized with Stuart Weitzman heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Oh, and new hair!

Grammys 2016 OK Dressed: Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood played it safe on the Grammys 2016 red carpet. She went with a black satin Nicolas Jebrin gown, which she paired with Zanotti heels and Johnathon Arndt jewels.

Grammys 2016 OK Dressed: Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding also played it safe with her pale pink Stella McCartney at the Grammys. Her dress looks like something Rihanna would’ve worn two years ago.

Grammys 2016 OK Dressed: Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s already made some 90s inspired elements her signature look (think white platform boots, bandeau tops and A-line minis), so it’s no surprise that she went for this red gown with corset bodice and dramatic train. She paired her Romona Keveza dress with a Jimmy Choo clutch, Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Niwaka jewels.

Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed: Ciara

Grammys Worst Dressed Ciara

Ciara went for the sexy look for the Grammys 2016, but unfortunately it came off cheap. Her Alexandre Vauthier dress shows off a little too much skin for our liking, which is a shame, because she has the most amazing body. She accessorized with Stuart Weitzman strappy heels.

Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed: Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato Grammys 2016

The Grammys have gotten us used to bold, jaw-dropping looks. Demi Lovato’s Norisol Ferrari tux dress is anything but, when she could have gone all out for her red carpet look. Demi lands on our worst dress list not because she doesn’t look amazing, but because her dress of choice is too somber and boring for the event.

Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed: Megan Trainor

Megan Trainor Grammys 2016

Megan Trainor looked less than impressive on the Grammys red carpet. She should get Adele’s stylist’s number. She won the awards for Best New Artist, so she shouldn’t really care that she landed worst dressed at the Grammys.

Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed: Joy Villa, Jacqueline Van Bierk, Dencia, Z LaLa and Manika

Jacqueline Van Bierk Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed

When you’re a D-list celebrity, you want to get noticed and get your name out there, you wear something shocking, revealing, over-the-top. It’s the cheapest trick in the book! Joy Villa, Jacqueline Van Bierk, Z LaLa and Manika did just that, but we don’t blame them, it’s how the game is played.
