After splitting from husband after a five-year relationship, it seems that Christina Aguilera is looking for ways to move on with her life instead of dwelling on the now past hurts and sufferings of her 'unhealthy and unhappy' relationship.

Apparently, while working on her new film Burlesque she has found someone who she thinks has the potential of helping her get on with her life. Her latest project has given her the opportunity to meet Matthew D. Rutler who is a set assistant for the movie.

Rumors about a possible new relationship started emerging after Christina and Matthew Rutler were spotted on a double date with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden at the Soho House in Los Angeles. The two were spotted together again leaving The Abbey. Christina was holding a rose in her hand smiling so the rumors have become pretty much a certainty.

Soon after the event speculations have started to emerge as a friend declared for People magazine: 'It’s not serious yet, but it’s something she is exploring and finding comfort in. It’s new and she’s taking it day by day. She and Jordan were having problems for a long time. What kept them together is their love for their son. She met [Matthew] on set and, during a difficult time, leaned on as a friend. After she and Jordan separated, the friendship turned romantic'.

Later the diva herself admitted that she is indeed started dating: 'We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He's the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it's daylight. Once I filed for divorce, we started dating." Even though she openly admitted her involvement with Matthew Rutler, the diva still chose not to go into specific detail about her new relationship out of respect for her new ex husband who doesn't seem to have made a similar move to recover from the breakup.
