Versace Bright Crystal Absolu fragrance is a new version of the beloved Versace Bright Crystal perfume. This version will hit the market in the upcoming months. The scent, which continues to be one of the label's best selling scents seven years after its launch, will get an intense makeover.
The brand is basing the new scent on customer feedback, so the new Versace Bright Crystal Absolu will be a more intense version of the already iconic scent.
The brand will work in collaboration with Euroitalia, which holds the license for the original scent. Euroitalia president, Giovanni Sgariboldi, told WWD:
“After the remarkable success of Bright Crystal eau de toilette on a worldwide level, we wanted to respond to the request of highly demanding consumers with a more intense version. We expect that those consumers who are fond of Bright Crystal edt will choose the absolute version for occasions when they desire greater intensity and a longer-lasting scent, so that they can [make a choice] based on the season and, sometimes, their mood.”
Donatella Versace also highlighted the that the scents are perfectly in line with the spirit of the fashion house: “It’s the scents themselves, which are evocative, vibrant and full of a love of life.” The new Versace Crystal Absolu scent was created by perfumer Alberto Morillas and features top notes of Yuzu and pomegranate, a heart of raspberry, lotus flower, peony and magnolia and base notes of Acajou wood, vegetal amber and musk.
The packaging will be kept very similar to the original, as will the promotional images. The ad campaign for the new Versace Bright Crystal Absolu perfume will be the same as the old one shot by famed photographer Mario Testino and will feature bombshell Candice Swanepoel. The new scent will come in two versions: a 50-ml ($84) version and a 90-ml. version ($110). While the new scent launches this month in Italy, in US and other countries, the scent will hit the counters only next year.
