The Vera Wang Be Jeweled fragrance is the sixth from the label and will be launched in late April exclusively at Kohl’s. The inspiration for the new Vera Wang perfume was both the designer’s own affinity for these accessories and the important role they play across many cultures:
“Jewels are my middle name. I have been so obsessed with jewelry forever — on the runway and for myself. And I love the idea of Be Jeweled; it brings that romantic notion of getting ready. Brides bejewel themselves; Indian women are bedecked with their saris, royalty has tiaras. There’s something about jewelry that represents a ritual where you will become dazzling, ” the designer stated for WWD.
The new Vera Wang exclusive perfume consolidates the well established partnership between the two brands, so the new project felt natural:
“We’ve carefully built a lifestyle brand at Kohl’s, and this is right in line with what we’re doing there. We’re not going to date anyone, but this scent will skew to a youthful sense of romance and fun,” Vera Wang added. The designer’s statements sure sound intriguing, however, only taking a closer look at the scent’s defining tones will help fashionistas decide whether it is worth the splurge.
The Be Jeweled by Vera Wang perfume opens up with top notes of pomegranate, red current and champagne, has a heart of passion fruit extract, pink honeysuckle and pink peony while radiant silvanone, cosmone musks, pink sugar crystals and Australian sandalwood complete the alluring bouquet of scents. In short, if fruity floral perfumes are your thing, you should definitely consider checking out the new Vera Wang fragrance for spring 2013.
The new Vera Wang 2013 fragrance will come in three versions: 1 oz. for $45, 1.7 oz. for $52 and 2.5 oz. For $68. The ads for the new fragrance center around the idea of a glamurous night out and will be featured in beauty and lifestyle magazines in May and June.
