The Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza fragrance is scheduled to arrive in stores starting with February. If the original Signorina fragrance had a distinguishable youthful allure, the new scent has a more sophisticated note, targeting a different age group. Ferragamo Parfums chief executive officer, Luciano Bertinelli, told WWD.com that: “With the original Signorina, we had a core target of a woman between 18 and 25 years old, and now we’re really looking at a woman 25 to 30 or 35 years old, who’s a little more mature and independent.”
The idea of self confidence and self awareness have also shaped the thought process for the flanker scent. Ferragamo creative director Massimiliano Giornetti itemized the main characteristics that helped shape the new Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza perfume: “I thought of the development and the feeling of this fragrance as the narrative of a certain elegance and femininity — of a sensuality that is still natural, but more self-aware.”
The label’s resort 2013 line has also served as a source of inspiration for Sophie Labbé of International Flavors & Fragrances, who was also involved in the creation of the original Signorina scent. “I was really inspired by a Ferragamo fashion show I went to in 2013, the resort line shown in the Louvre arcades [in Paris],” she stated.
The new Signorina Eleganza fragrance features top notes of grapefruit and pear, heart notes of almonds and osmanthus flowers which help give the scent a multifaceted allure, and base notes of patchouli and white leather accords. The luxury label has already prepared the ad campaign for the new Signorina Eleganza perfume and enlisted Polish model Anja Rubik for the task. The new ads were lensed by talented photographer Mario Sorrenti.
The new scent will come in three versions: 30-ml, 50-ml, and 100-ml. and will retail for about $76, $108 and $142 , or about 8 percent more than the original Signorina fragrance.
