The new Moschino Cheap & Chic fragrance is Chic Petals, a fab floral scent with fruity accents. The new scent will be part of the Olive series, a collection of scents which stand out due to their whimsical shape and that are inspired by Olive Oyl, the beloved cartoon character. Moschino, together with Euroitalia have created the new scent mainly for customers that are already familiar with the series.
Euroitalia founder and president Giovanni Sgariboldi told WWD that: “It’s a significant, important launch that represents the continuity of Olive and that it’s made for those consumers who are already familiar with Cheap and Chic’s Olive fragrances — Olive has always been very successful both in fashion and in the perfume world, and this follows the interest of those who love this series.”
Given the source of inspiration behind the series, the statement made by Moschino’s creative director Rossella Jardini is far from surprising:
“Chic Petals is a perfume for a woman or a young girl. I envision a fan of the Cheap and Chic fragrances who over the years has collected the various scents and their fun bottles, which each time present a new facet of the Cheap and Chic world.”
The new Moschino Cheap & Chic Chic Petals perfume is defined by “freshness, lightness and a touch of irony”, just like the label’s fashion line. Floral notes define the fab new scent which brings a spectacular bouquet of scents starting top notes of pomegranate, wild strawberry and ginger. A heart of gardenia, water lily and red orchid adds complexity to the scent while base notes of Hinoki wood, musk and Italian iris make the new scent a veritable olfactory delight.
