The Giorgio Armani Si fragrance is the the new scent that will be released in late August/September. The Italian luxury label has chosen Cate Blanchett as the ambassador of the new Armani perfume. The scent’s creators hope the new scent will become an iconic one.
According to Véronique Gautier, Giorgio Armani general manager at L’Oréal Luxe, a division of industry-leading L’Oréal stated that the new scent is a very modern one: “It’s the affirmation of a very modern woman, and it’s a product of extremely high quality.”
Actress Cate Blanchett was almost an intuitive choice as brand ambassador for the Italian designer: “I have known and admired Cate Blanchett for many years. As I was developing the Sì project, defining the fragrance and imagining the bottle, I instinctively thought of her, and of the passion that can be perceived behind her impeccable manners and confident look — a seductive combination that fully respects the spirit of my new perfume,” he told WWD. The fact that the star has a close relationship with the designer was also extremely helpful.
The Giorgio Armani Si perfume has a rather minimalistic presentation which is perfectly in tone with the label’s core style approach. As for the defining notes of the new Si by Giorgio Armani fragrance, the notes are a complex mix of cassis nectar, chypre and a light, musky wood and notes of vanilla, rose de mai, freesia, a dash of patchouli. In addition to these notes, the developer of the fragrance, Christine Nagel of fragrance house Mane also included two trademarked ingredients: Jungle Essence and intense orcanox.
Given the complexity of the Giorgio Armani Si fragrance, it can be difficult to imagine the exact scent. According to the Australian actress, the new scent is a fresh one: “This fragrance is very chic, timeless with a freshness and warmth I find inspiring,” she stated.
There will be three versions of the Giorgio Armani Si scent: 30 ml for $72, 50 ml for $105 and 100 ml for $145. Additional products are: a scented body lotion and a shower gel.
