Bottega Veneta is launching its new fragrance, Bottega Veneta Eau Légère, a new flanker to the brand’s debut perfume. Find out what new scents were used to create the new Bottega Veneta fragrance for 2013.
The new Bottega Veneta fragrance for women is a fresh interpretation of the company’s first fragrance, launched in Milan in summer 2011. Robertet’s Michel Almairac is the man behind the Bottega Veneta perfumes and the new flanker retains the top notes of the previous scent with added freshness.
Bottega Veneta Eau Légère Fragrance
Tomas Maier, creative director of Bottega Veneta, explained that the new fragrance is a completely new creation, based on the previous scent: “I wanted something completely new, a creation that combines the sensuality of the original Bottega Veneta fragrance with the clarity and freshness of water”.
Almairac described the new Bottega Veneta flanker for 2013 as “preserving the soul of the Bottega Veneta original”, but giving it a lighter feel as if “passing the original fragrance through a waterfall”. The Bottega Veneta fragrance of 2013 offers a gentle freshness that will appeal to fans of the original, who prefer a softer fragrance for spring.
Bottega Veneta New Fragrance for 2013
Lifting the floral top notes from the Bottega Veneta Eau De Parfum ($105) predecessor, Bottega Veneta Eau Légère features bergamot and pink pepper, along with heart notes that retain the strong jasmine feel, highlighted by gardenia and base notes of oak moss and musk.
According to the perfumer, “Bottega Veneta Eau Légère expresses a tender and hopeful mood, those moments when a woman feels most alive and open to the possibilities of the world around her.”
The fresh scent is presented in a flacon that has the same clean lines and soft curves of the original, but display a lighter color-scheme.
Bottega Veneta Flanker 2013
Bottega Veneta Eau Légère is the first flanker to the debut Bottega Veneta Eau de Parfum. The original is a leathery, floral chypre, while the new fragrance showcases the brightest, freshest facets of the original juice, with a new and soft, sparking signature.
Available in late February, early March, Bottega Veneta Eau Légère is presented as 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette. The advertising campaign for the Bottega Veneta fragrance of 2013 was shot by Bruce Weber and features Nine d’Urso, who also represented the fashion house’s first fragrance.
