Beyonce’s Rise fragrance will soon hit the market. Releasing a secret self-titled full album complete with videos at midnight without any sort of promotional efforts beforehand and having it hit a million in sales soon after and becoming the fastest selling album on iTunes wasn’t enough for the singer, who also launched a scent for her Mrs Carter World Tour. Beyonce also found time to take her growing fragrance empire in a new direction by exploring a different set of notes.
It appears that the Beyonce Rise perfume developed by Loc Dong of International Flavors & Fragrances is an “intoxicating, addictive luminous floral” scent featuring a heart of gold symphony orchid. Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing for fragrances in the Coty Beauty division of Coty Inc. which holds the license for the superstar’s fragrances, told WWD.com that the new scent that is meant to represent female empowerment. “We’re getting a little bit more intimate and personal with this next initiative we are doing. The time has come for something more natural and emotional.”, said Mrs. Brooks. The singer stated that the new scent is designed to encourage women to be all that they want to be.
The new Beyonce Rise scent, which is described as sexy and sophisticated, features top notes of bergamot, apricot, basil sorbet blended with a heart of Gold Symphony orchid, freesia, jasmine sambac and base notes of cashmere musk and vetiver extract. The gold tone of the new Beyonce Rise fragrance bottle is meant to symbolize a powerful character, in addition to sense of ascension.
Queen B’s new scent will become available at the counters globally starting with early February. It will come in these versions: an eau de perfume priced at $19.99 for 0.5 oz; a 1-oz version for $39; a 1.7-oz. bottle priced at $49 and a 3.4-oz version version which will retail for $59. Matching beauty products available for sale will be a 200-ml. body lotion – $24, and a 200-ml. shower gel priced at $22.
