Well, I bet you're pretty strong already but pain like that has to hurt. Hey flowers are okay, but weeds a re a pain. They grow anywhere :D Omg, Vikkii, if you at seen this Romeo and Juliet, you would never have fallen asleep. It was telecast live to theaters around the world from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

The production was so fabulous. Romeo and Juliet is a great story.. Have you seen the play or the movie? I've seen several different versions including one all-girl production :D Think of how this play has influenced things though. It's produced operas, ballet, and "West Side Story." I'd give you a complete review but I don't want to bore you too much. But the costumes were just luscious (that's the only word I can think of), and the dancing was awesome. In one scene, the boys in the corps wore fuchsia tights with cute little boots instead of ballet slippers. Juliet (Lauren Cuthbertson) was just beautiful and acted like a young girl and Romeo (Federico Bonelli) was totally handsome. What leg muscles, omg! He looked fabulous in tights. The pas de deux in Act I was just awesome. And the music was really perfect. Great orchestra.

And all the sword fighting was terrific. Anyone who thinks that ballet is sissy should see these guys fighting!! It was great. Lauren said in an interview that in one performance Federico showed up for Act III with a big gash on his face from the sword fight in Act II. There were six of us there and we all were thrilled by the whole thing. It took over three hours. Then we went and ate Thai food which was fun. I wore a really cool outfit - pink checked blazer, baggy dark khakis, and red and blue ankle boots.

Ha ha, as someone who OCCASIONALLY has been branded as a wimp, I understand. I had a fight with my BFF Jenn when we were 8 that was just that way, scratching and pulling hair and slapping. Is it possible for both of us to ,lose a fight? :D

Tapas are really just small plates of really good Spanish food. I love Paella too. Where in Spain are you heading. Wherever, get out of those sweatpants, don some shorts, and start working on ur tan. THAT's AN ORDER!!!!!!

Sorry ur not feeling well darling. Is it your Costochondritis again? New Jersey has great soil. It's sandy but nice and crumbly too. There a lot of vineyards starting up there. It's not California or anything, but it's probably going to be better. I have a great uncle (I guess), my Italian aunt's father who makes his own wine and cheese. Everybody says it's good and we kids swipe some every once and a while.I also have a cousin (Donovan's dad) who makes beer. I don't really drink other than a few glasses of wine at dinner. I should like beer because I'm Irish, but it always tastes so sour to me. But I'll bet your wine will be good once you get the right equipment

The weather’s still great here. I wore shorts with my uniform yesterday and today which is way earlier than normal. Oh and speaking of ballet, this week should be kool becuz on Thursday a bunch of us are going to the AFI theatre (American Film Institute) to see a live (on screen) presentation of the Royal Ballet's "Romeo and Juliet." It's part of a series called Opera and Ballet in the Cinema. They did "La Corsaire" last week but I was in the workshop and missed it. It's being done all over the country and maybe the world so maybe it's available near you too. I can't wait.

Oh Spain sounds fabulous. We go to a Spanish restaurant where they serve Tapas that are really delicious. The owner is this famous chef, Jose Andres. Ha ha, I can see you and your friend fighting with handbags. Did you scratch and pull hair too?

Yeah, you should have been a boy and I should have been a girl. It's kinda like Jules and me. We were probably born in the wrong gender. Go figure! I hope you're feeling better and that something special happens to you this week.

oh hiiiii Vikkii, Sorry that I've been away, but I don't know if I mentioned it, but I was in a theatre workshop on Friday and Saturday near our shore house and it really had me tied up. I FINALLY finished with that workshop late last night. It was fun, and I learned a lot, and met some great kids my age like me :D but I;m totally EXHAUSTED. I'm taking today to help my mom plant some spring stuff (peas, spinach, carrots) in our vegetable garden. It's small but the soil is sooo good, stuff just grows. The East Coast of the US is having a March heat wave. It was 80 Fin DC on Friday, although it was only about 60 at the beach because of the coastal fog. Back 2 school tomorrow.

OMG, you were banned from wearing shorts. How ridiculous! I totally live in shorts from April through the fall. I love to show off my legs :)))))) "The Plastics" ha ha, I love it. That's one thing no one can say about you (or me I hope). I don't mind short skirts or dresses as long as they're well cut and tailored, but I hate it when girls just wear short dresses to impress boys. It's so silly. And I HAVE to see that monokini. My god you must look fabulous. I'l wear my purple speedo and we'll be a team. Where is your holiday this year?

We got ot a laugh about that poor little boy. But seriously, I do carry a purse sometimes because, I need it to carry all my things. I mean at school, I have a backpack. But if I'm going out I simply have to have someplace to carry my wallet, makeup, glasses, etc. But I've never hit anyone with a purse :)))

I guess i believe in a goddess, not a god, because I think men just want a male god to justify wars and misogyny and homophobia. Oh and we both hate bugs and worms and stuff ewwwww. When I was about 11, these two girls from my street (two awful tomboys, not sweet like u) put about 50 Caterpillars and worms down my top and shorts and i totally freaked out. I took four baths and threw away all the clothes I had on. It makes my skin tingle thinking about it.

Speaking of Obama, I loved the visit of David and Samantha Cameron. It amazes me the British "Conservatives" are more liberal than our Democrats. And Samantha and Michelle both looked fabulous. I though Samantha's dress was stunning. Ha ha and can see you dressed like a gangster. You big tomboy!!! I like dressing like a girl because I love the clothes and I can look pretty girly with makeup on and I have pretty feminine gestures. Wouldn't it be cool for you and me to go out with you as a boy and me as a girl? That would be so fun. I probably should have been a girl :))))

We spend a lot of our summers at the shore so we usually go on holiday over Christmas. But we are going to New York city for a few days to see the ballet and some shows in May

I guess we all like attention (the right kind anyway)--girls and boys. There's a happy medium about dressing I think. And who could outdress you? Pink animal prints!!! I don't think soooo. It's funny but the best clothes are the ones that look almost natural. Girls at school wear their uniforms too short to impress the boys. Now, don't get me wrong I love short dresses, but each skirt was cut for a certain length and making it shorter by pulling it up can look ewwwwww.

Ha ha, a handbag fight. Which reminds me of a joke about a little boy who comes home from school crying to his mom because another kid called him a sissy. "So what did you do?" mommy asks? The little boy sobs, "i sob sob hit him with my purse!!"
A devil worshipper, huh. That's funny. You know you might be interested in a religion called Wicca. (It's where the word 'witch' came from). But it's about worshiping the goddess and nature. Sounds like you a bit. I think a lot of religions are sexist and homophobic whether it's Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. Maybe you and I should start out own religion. And there's still lots of racism and sexism in the U.S. too. Look at the stuff people say about the President.

Hey, there's no reason to verdress at work. We wear uniforms for school and that's cool. I actually like it 'cause then when you do dress up, it feels even neater. And I probably will save my miniskirts for going out on the town. Actually, it's fun to dress like a girl on Halloween and stuff. :D Did u ever dress like a boY?

Oh Vikkii, thanks for the Birthday greeting. And you are sooo right! Even though she tried 2 deny it, Jules was kind of digging the attention. I think she's discovering boys. Hah, good luck with that! And she is really pretty so she looks great when she dresses up. But you're so sweet to say that some of them were cking me out. Most of them were dressed awfully for the theatre, but a few were really cute. So, I WISH anyway.

Oh yeah, trainers--I forgot that. That sounds more elegant. I uploaded a photo into the "My Photos" album in case yiu want 2 ck them out. They're more for casual dress than running, but I'll race you!!! I actually can run fairly well for a non-athlete. Lots of practice I guess :D

That's an interesting comment about Nickelodeon and cartoon network being non-supportive of same sex marriage. I never thought about that. But it's probably the anti-gay forces at work again. The us is really funny about that with lots of right wing religions that say that being gay is a sin and that gays just need to go to a camp to be made "normal." Like if I learn to throw like a boy, I won't be gay!!! Isn't that ridiculous???? And people get all fired up about the word "marriage." First of all, marriage laws are controlled by the states. So 8 states have passed laws allowing same sex marriages including Washington, DC and my state, Maryland. But the law in Maryland is going 2 be challenged in the November elections. But a whole bunch of red (conservative) states have passed constitutional amendments saying that marriage has 2 be between a man and a woman. They say that's the way it's always been which is totally idiotic; I mean what about all those bible people like Abraham. I'm glad I live in a blue (liberal) state, but lots of people are still homophobic. Idiots!!!!

Oh wow, I had never heard of Costochondritis. It sounds really painful. I googled it and they don't have any one pill or shot that you take to get rid of it. How long have u had it? Do you know what caused it? And long hair is perfect for your face. You know yourself better than anybody. But I think Emma Watson and Michelle Williams look really cute with short hair. Again, it may be me being gay that digs that look. You worry about what str8 boys like. That's what's important. I'll just worry about your clothes and makeup :D

And girls look good in pants and shorts too. Don't get me wrong. But I just love to see a girl with beautiful legs in a skirt or dress. And you're not strange. You can admire clothes and still not wear them. I mean I love dresses but don't normally wear them 2 school (lucky thing!) We have company this weekend, my mom's friends from college. I am having fun escorting them around town --Jackie walsh with three beautiful women:)))))))

Okay Miss Vikkii, I'll tell u about my weekend first. The big new is that I'm now 17!!! See you always knew I acted older than my age when I was 16 :D So yeah, my bday was on Saturday. On Friday night, my mom, Julia, and I went to the theatre to see Shakespeare's "Two Gentlemen of Verona." (part of my birthday celebration) The play starts in Verona but is mostly in Milan. We all loved it. It was done as kind of a teenage play with great sets and music. And the acting was fabulous as it always is. One of the two female leads was named Julia, so my sis was really digging her (although she cut herself in one scene when her boyfriend (lover) was cheating on her ewwww.) I have to admit (reluctantly) that my sister looked awesome. She's pretty 2 begin with and then she wore this really cute print sheath dress and heels. She has fabulous legs and I'm so jealous (not really, but...) Because of the kinda teenage theme, there were lots of kids our age there. And at intermission I caught all they boys checking her out. I wanted to think they were admiring me in my my velvet jacket and grey flannel pants, but probably NOT :D But I can wish I guess.

I spent a lot of my birthday with Ricki and Jenn just hanging out. It was clear the the three of us were best friends (but probably not more than that ((() They went together and bought me a really nice beige collarless blazer, the kind you wear at the beach at night in summer with shorts or pants. It's really fabulous. Jules gave me a great pair of sneakers (red, white, and blue), the kind you wear with shorts for casual, not for sports. I put a picture on my FB wall, They're really great; didn't know my sister had such great taste!!!!! My mom gave me a voucher for a Drivers Ed course that means I should have a provisional license by the summer. I was really shocked (and happy) about that. My aunts gave me a wonderful gift--a whole beach outfit--bathing suit, shirt, and neat pants to wear to and from the beach. They're like three quarter length with a canvas belt. I can't wait to wear it for real. Definitely ready 4 summer.

You know, you run yourself down sometimes, but you're really sooo smart. Yeah, I could see someone calling Robert De Niro a sissy. If they did, he'd probably kill them :D And while I'm weak physically, I think I'm kinda strong emotionally. Elmo is on Sesame Street, but he's one of the muppets too. I like him a lot and Miss Piggy, but my favorite is Kermit. Dora the Explorer is a character on The Nickelodeon network. I used to lover her because she was adventurous (like Nancy Drew) but also sweet. How come all my role models are women: Dora, Barbie (I never liked Ken), Nancy Drew? Not totally true! There are two gay men on the TLC network, Randy and Clinton, who I admire a lot, especially Randy.

So what kind of pain are u relieving? I hope you're not hurting too badly. I'm guesing you would look okay with short hair but you look great with it long too. My hair has always been pretty long. It's naturally curly and I used to get perms but not anymore. I like short, spiky hair on guys I guess. And sure a tomboy can look great in dresses because there's nothing girly girly about showing off your body and legs. Julia is the best example. I'm always trying to get her to wear dresses and she's like, "ugh, too girly for me." But when she wears them, like Friday night, she can be breathtaking.

Glad u got some sleep, darling. Hope you have a fabulous week.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. But I didn't want to tell my mom because it was a big deal that I got a scholarship to this school and I didn't want to upset her. But as soon as she found out, she was like, "Forget that school, you're the one that's important." See why I like my mom so much? Those boys must've been really mean, but there would be nothing wrong with liking you!! Actually, I bet if we went to school together, we would have been friends even tho we're kinda different in some ways. I could see us now: the odd couple, the tomboy and the sissy!! :D School can be really a mess sometimes, although my current school is really good. Most of the kids (boys anyway) have been bullied for liking drama, dance, or music. So there's very little bullying.

Speaking of bullying, I could never see you as a bully. I could tell you can be tough and a bit of a tomboy, but can't see you picking on someone weaker than you. Even though you get mad and stuff you seem to be really kind. Oh and did you see Lady Gaga's latest anti-bullying effort. She is truly fabulous. Can you imagine her getting bullied as a kid?

    http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/03/lady-gaga-launches-born-this-way-foundation-2/ />
I think Michel'e's tuxedo look with the boyish haircut is really more popular with gay boys. Most girls I know don't like it (except for ones who like girls :D) and I bet most boys don't either. St8 boys seem to go for long hair all the time. But most gay boys I know adore the look. Honestly, we probably wish she was a real boy :D

Ha ha, I love your PJs too. Who doesn't like Elmo (and all of the Muppets for that matter). There's a Muppets museum near me because the creator, Jim Henson, went to the University of Maryland. Since i'm a total bookworm, i am so glad your reading. But why are you not sleeping? Is something bothering you? You do need sleep. Maybe you should see a doctor or something.

My mom. my sister, and me are going to see Shakespeare's "Two gentlemen of Verona" tonight. And Jules is even going to wear a dress!!! She's very pretty even tho she is a total tomboy and I bet she'll look great. Any weekend plans for Miss Vikkii?

Yes, another BG friend of mine explained the British system 2 me once. It actually seemed to make more sense than the us system although I still can't figure out why the best private schools like Eton and stuff are called "public" schools. I went to a private catholic elementary school until I was 13. And that school wasn't too bad for me. Then went to a private Catholic all-boys HS for about a month. I hated it sooo much; A group of boys kind of singled me out right away as a target. I used 2 cry every night because it was so bad. I got teased and beat up every day. Finally my sister made me tell my mom and I was able to pass an audition and get into the high school I go to now that emphasizes performing arts. A charter school is a special kind of public school. We wear uniforms and stuff, just like the richer schools do. But the kids are less mean and more normal.

I bet you would have been fun at school but I would hate to get on ur bad side. You were definitely one of the girls I would have avoided I guess, although I would have admired ur clothes :D. Most of my friends are girls just because we have more in common. Your sister sounds cool but I prefer your fashion sense. It's funny: u don'r sound like a girl who doesn't care what she wears. I spend too much time (and money) buying clothes and obsessing about hair and (sometimes) makeup. Oh and I totally agree about the champagne dresses at the Oscars. They were kind of blah. But Michelle Williams dress was awesome, kinda your color too :D And did I like her in short hair and short pants because I'm gay? Probably to be honest!!! She looked more like a cute boy than a girl. LOL

Jeff Beck was apparently a guitarist from the 1960s and 70s. Of course everyone knows Mick Jagger. He sang pretty well 4 his age and even played the harmonica I like watching movies too but not too much in bed. I can read in bed but fall asleep with TV on. Don't laugh or I'll never speak to you, but I wear "Dora the Explorer" PJs that Emma bought me last year kind of as a joke, but they really fit me and are comfortable. LOL

  • Jackie_Walsh
    February 28, 2012 Jackie_Walsh

oh gosh, I thought I had told you my age, but I guess I didn't. Anyway, I'll be 17 next month :D and thanks for the compliment. I think I am a bit more mature than a lot of boys my age (girls are usually a little more mature than boys). Part of it was the way I was raised I think. So maybe I could be the younger boy cousin (sort of a boy anyway :D) that you always wanted but never had. I go to a charter high school that specializes in the performing arts.

You probably would make a great lawyer (or a barrister I guess) because you "take no prisoners." My sis Emma is studying English and fashion merchandising in college but she wants 2 go to law school and become a fashion lawyer. Fashion law is appaently a new field and Emma is a natural for it of course. You'd be awesome too. I could see you hitting the other lawyer with a pink leopard print pump :p

Irish families tend to be pretty big. I probably have 10-15 cousins within 5 years of me in age. So it tends 2 be fun plus, even though we're catholic, everyone is pretty liberal so being gay is okay. I don't know if I ever told u, but my mom's youngest sister is a lesbian and got married last summer (fabulous wedding BTW). But even though u have a small family, you're probably tight-knit especially because of the business and all. How much older is your sister? Does she have the same awesome fashion sense as you?

You're right about Oscar fashions. Some are gorgeous, others hideous. But you never have to be overly "nice" and not say anything. I have unusual tastes sometimes. Like a lot of girls I know hated the Michelle Williams tux, but I loved it (could it be that I like the "boyish" look :D)

We have an incredible # of TV stations on cable here. Most of them are junky but a few have some good programs. I love the fashion and arts program (I'm sure you're SHOCKED 2 hear that!!!) There was a cool program on our PBS last night --a blues concert in the White House featuring lots of old American blues guitarists like B.B. King. They also had two Brits--Mick Jagger and Jeff Beck (who I had never heard of but was really good). President Obama sang a verse of "Swet Home Chicago" :D

  • Jackie_Walsh
    February 28, 2012 Jackie_Walsh

Oh hey, getting ur hair done is so fun, isn't it? Did u get a new style? If so, I demand 2 see it. When I was a model i had naturally curly hair but the agency still had me get perms every 2 months and I can still remember how neat it felt to get your hair rolled and permed. And I actually like the smell of perm solution. LOL

I'm sorry about your partner. If he doesn't listen a little, it's hard to make any progress. But his behavior tells me again he's trying to figure out whether ur a friend who's a girl or a girlfriend. I'm beginning 2 think that you deserve someone better. But your approach is best. And yeah, that hairstyle might help him decide. Ha ha I just realized how silly it sounds for a 16 yo boy who's never been in a real relationship to be giving u advice. LOL

My family is pretty good, even my father's side!! We still see some of my aunts and uncles even though I hardly ever see him. And my cousins are pretty good, the girls especially. They all adore my sister Emma as the oldest girl cousin (I do too as my sister of course!!!! She's my inspiration). And, except for a few boy cousins, my family is very kewl about being gay and a little girly and stuff.

Oh I don't know how the time difference worked out, but did you see any of the Oscars? The awards were a little boring (although "The Artist" and "Hugo" won a lot and I liked both films). but the clothes were lovely. Lots of champagne colored gowns for some reason. But I loved the dress Michelle Williams wore. It was a a Louis Vuitton with a structured, backless bustier and a tiered skirt. She wore an adorable bow brooch on her right hip and carried a cute pink clutch, which gave the whole look a touch of whimsy. Here's one link, although the writer says her dress was orange, I saw it as more like coral. It's hard 2 tell colors sometimes.

Speaking of Michelle Williams, did you see the cute tuxedo with short pants she wore for the Independent Spirit awards. I really loved it. She looked like a British schoolboy :D

    Hiiiiiiii Vikkii,

Hope you had a nice weekend and didn't spend it all painting!! I spent yesterday in Pennsylvania at my (2nd) cousin Donovan's birthday party (he's two). It was a lot of fun. Lots of little kids bashing a pinata and great food. Plus I have lots of cousins to hang out with (typical Irish family I guess). Mom, Jules, and I went gift shopping Friday night. It was fun picking out clothes for a 2-3 year old kid. I did a great job of restraining my wildness. Didn't want to make Donovan a little lord Fauntleroy like I was :D We picked out a really cute outfit from Guess: Blue and white madras shorts with a blue canvas belt and a blue tee. Donovan will be totally cool in the summer!!

If I didn't know better, I'd think you liked the color pink!! I love it, because it shows you can be girly and strong at the same time. You would probably be an awesome P.E. teacher because you seem to understand kids plus you love sports.

It's hard for me to figure this guy out. He sounds really sweet, but conflicted. My guess is he has some feelings for you but doesn't quite know how to deal with them. He could just want to be friends but doesn't know how to do it because of his "bird." Or it could be something deeper? How well do you know his bird? Could there be cracks in their relationship? It's a little hard for me to understand being gay since I can be friends with girls without any worry about anything sexual or romantic getting in the way (although sometimes I wish it weren't that way :p). But I think there's something there. My advice is 2 be patient and be a good friend and see what happens. You can't force things but I wouldn't give up all hope. I'm rooting 4 you!!! And I love being your friend and don't worry about the mood swings. They on't bother me at all. (Although I wouldn't want to be on ur wrong side!") "Gay" seems to run in families. My mom's youngest sister, my Aunt Alex, is a lezzie. I love her and her wife, my aunt Nerissa. :D

Oh and the colors sound luscious. You can paint for me anytime!!!!

    Hey Vikkii :)))))

I would love 2 go shoe shopping with U. It would be a hoot!!! Shopping is much more fun with friends because you crack up a lot plus they can talk you out of some bad impulse buys (omigosh Jackie, not that pink silk top!!!!) Of course your camera is pink!! What else? It probably gets lost with all the other pink stuff. So maybe you should get a unique case. Her's a link for a site that makes fabulous cases 4 phones. They may do cameras too. I tried to get one for my Kindle but they don't make them yet. But they're really nice people:

    http://www.meblingbling.com/ />
I would have picked you first for my team!!!! ou don't take any prisoners. Never played "bench ball." But Yay for you for making the winning goal. We have a game called kick ball that's a little like baseball. We also play dodgeball which I hate because the ball hurts a lot plus I can't throw it very hard or straight. It's funny but last summer my cousin Merry who's a great volleyball player (even tho she's only 13) picked me FIRST for a game :D She was just being nice 'cause she knows I always get picked last, but I think I even played better.

I'm so sorry about what he's doing 2 you. It doesn't make any sense 2 me. Maybe you could try to talk to him one more time. The last word I would ever use to describe you is "weak." So what if you cry! That's just a way of releasing feelings rather than bottling them up. If I didn't cry sometimes, I'd be a total mess.

Oh and I can be with Ricki and still be your friend. That's the best thing about being gay. Girls can be friends with me without worrying about me coming on strong or interfering with their boyfriends. My girl BFF Jenn has a boyfriend but he'slike "It's cool if you and Jackie want to hang out and stuff."

Disgusting colors!! Ugh :)))) I can't imagine you with a girlfriend who has bad taste. So which ones does Nan like? I painted my room in Lipstick Lavender from Benjamin Moore last summer. It is totally awesome :D

Hola, Bonjour, etc, to Mis Vikkii

I just saw ur status about "bad shoe fetish day." It cracked me up. I can see you in these high patent leather boots with 6 inch heels. I used to be like that with scarfs because they add color and look cool. I had about 10 of them. Nothing like ur shoe collection :D I can see you searching frantically for your camera now. You should probably get a pink leopard skin case 4 it :D

Oh basketball!!!! I bet you were a good player. You seem pretty athletic. Most sports are boring but I didn't enjoy playing too much either. I went to a small elementary school and boys and girls took P.E. together and this one girl Kathy and I were always the last to get picked for teams. So Kathy and I are sitting on the bench as usual , not watching the game, talking about clothes or books or something. When the P.E. teacher is like, ok walsh and O'neill get in there. Soooo we go in and kathy's team has the ball and they pass it to her and she fumbles it and it rolls right to me. So I pick it up but was confused. Everybody's screaming at me and I kinda froze and then this big girl Megan started like slapping at me to get the ball and I just panicked
So I totally freaked out and threw the ball up at the basket just to get her to stop slapping at me. And, guess what-- it went in!! So I was like dancing because I never made a basket before!!

But Guess what? I had thrown it into the wrong basket and made two points for the other team!! I couldn't believe it. I just ran off the court crying and wanting to die I was so embarrassed. But Kathy came and said it was her fault. If she had caught the ball, I never would have picked it up. That made me feel better.

Sorry about your friend. He obviously doesn't understand how lucky he was. But you have too much going 4 you to be down for long. I'd volunteer to be ur boyfriend anytime, but probablt couldn't do all the stuff a real boyfriend should do. I know that Prince Charming will show up when u least expect it. I agree that most guys are really dismissive about girls. My sister isn't butch looking but she can beat up a lot of boys. It's all so stupid, isn't it? I love women who are brigght and strong because they're more fun than girls who can't hold a conversation or want to be all weak and prissy for a boy. (That's probably whu I like you. "Weak and prissy" aren't something that you ever got called I bet.

Oh poor Cinnamon! Sorry about him. How old was he. We also have an older cat named Inky. Sounds like Sooty' cousin :D Good luck with the car stereo and the painting. Are you doing ur room? What color? We just bought a Blu Ray player. I need to hook it up to our network this weekend.

Yeah, you obviously loooove taking pics. Lots of pink and leopard. Hmmm, could this be a trend? :D I love doing nails and I'm actually pretty good, but I'm not nearly that creative. I have twin 13 year old cousins from Philadelphia--Meredith and Casey--and I did their hair, nails, and makeup on New Years Eve. I think they looked adorable (could I be biased?). They also did mine too of course. It's funny but many girls my age wear too much makeup but you can't really do "too much" on your nails, can you?

Oh gosh, yesterday was a school holiday here (President's Day--Lincoln and Washington were both born in February). I spent most of the weekend at my aunts in downtown DC (Dupont Circle) because my mom and Julia were in Philadelphia 4 a basketball tournament and mom STILL won't let me stay home alone overnight (Grrrrr!!). I guess she thinks someone will kidnap me or something. It always make me feel like I'm six or something, but it's not that big a deal because I love my aunts and they live in a really cool neighborhood with great shops and restaurants and theaters. Plus at least I didn't have to sit through the basketball games. We also have lots of relatives in Philly so I missed seeing them, but I see them at the beach a lot.

Thanks for the sweet comments about Ricki and me (you can see why I feel like I do). We hung out yesterday listening to music and goofing off but it wasn't like boyfriend stuff. So we'll see. I think he's really scared about being gay so I don't want to push him because I love him as a friend first.

Oh and I never thought either of us were unmanly in like being cowards or anything (I hope not anyway). I means "sissy" in the sense of being on the girly side which I am. It also bugs me that it's okay for a girl to act like a boy--a tomboy--but if a boy likes things that girls like, he's considered weak and sissified. Again, it implies that "girly" is weak and not worth anything while" boy-y " (???) is strong and important. Yeah like a baseball game is more important than a fashion show!!! NOT

You are an amazing girl (guess I should say woman) with lots of amazing facets. I think sharks are a bit "misunderstood" too, although I'm not sure I'd want to swim with them :D (I did swim with dolphins in the Bahamas one time and that wuz great) I think Jaws got everyone all upset about sharks. But all animals play a role in the environment, even ones I hate like worms and crawly bugs (ewwwwwwww). I guess my favorite animals are cats, all kinds. We have too--Kate and Pippa. I know that sounds like more "royalty envy" from Americans but my sister Emma named them :D

So what are your plans 4 the week. I have a Biology test and a history paper due. So guess what I'll be doing :D
