About me

Hi,  My name is Anna

Patricia Zhou is my role model.... Strike that, I WANT TO BE Patricia Zhou!

(Right)

Ballet is my life... I aspire to be a prima ballerina :)

I love Kpop! It's almost literally all I ever listen to.

I'm really quite boring... Sorry hehe.

I made up the frase "That vaccumes...".

I vaccume at writing these things.

I believe anything is possible, but I still have to remind myself all the time.

I love fashion, beauty and all that's in between.

"You might as well live in a box when all you love is thousands of miles away"

"Tell that to all the Kpop fans who are NOT from Korea, and see how long it takes to count your injuries."

If you want to know anything else about me, just ask. I won't bite!

Bonjour Anna! I was talking to Jackie and he thinks we would have much in common, so I decided it was worth getting to know you, yes? :)

Okay Miss Annabele, after all my whining Google just opened up + to ages 13 and above :D Feel free to punch me or slap me whatever for being such a baby!

Oh you’ll love “Pride and Prejudice” I bet. It’s a little hard to read but so evocative of another time and place. Have you seen the movie version? You know our local PBS stations are rerunning some of the Jane Austen shows from a few years ago. And I’m watching them. And they are also doing a reprise of an old series my mom loved called “Brideshead Revisited” that sounds good too. I like “A Christmas Carol” of course, but I guess my two favorites are “Oliver Twist” and “Great Expectations.”

The “Romeo and Juliet” is being presented LIVE from the Royal Ballet, in London on Thursday, March 22, at 3:30pm EDT. We already have tickets and I’m taking off school at 2:00 that day (Double Yay!!). In addition to the AFI, it’s being shown live in lots of places around the U.S. I don’t know where you live, but do check Google and see if it’s in your area. They are also doing a second screening but in different times in different places. Oh and have you seen “The Artist” yet? You will love it because again it’s a different era—the time when talking movies began. There are a few great tap dance scenes and the girls wear flapper clothes with bobbed hair. I thought it was fabulous and it’s PG-13 too.

I thought the Hardy Boys books were silly actually, mostly because I was a different kind of boy with other interests. Nancy Drew was much better. I saw the movie too. Did you see it? You had mentioned the Zumba dance before Christmas and I meant to ask how it was going. I really loved the “Little Mermaid Movie” but “Defying Gravity” should be great too. I just read the original book version of Wicked. It’s a little darker than the play, but still kinda interesting and well-written. Singing and dancing at the same time can be hard for me too. And I’m also not the best singer in the world because my range is pretty high on the scale. I think the idea of having everyone join in is brilliant. When is the performance? Is your best friend also in your ballet class? Good luck, I’m rooting for your team.
And speaking of teams, thank goodness you’re not into sports or we’d run out of things to talk about. And I’m like you in that I know absolutely nothing about them. Sometimes I get dragged to my sisters’ games and sit there totally bored because I don’t even understand the rules. And I hate it when adults will say stuff like. Your sister is fabulous. But you don’t play anything, do you? Oh but I forgot, you modeled and took ballet!” Honestly, adults can be worse than kids sometimes!

I really love linen shorts for summer. I have several pairs with a flared leg and shorter than most boys wear. I think they look really nice with short sleeve shirts. Much dressier looking to me. And I like colors like lavender and mauve. We can wear shorts with our school uniforms when it’s warmer, but they’re just khaki and kind of boring.
Winter has been very mild here on the East Coast. But I still can’t wait for summer either. I am trying for a summer part-time job at Forever 21 but they don’t seem to hire many boys. I need to take driving lessons because my school doesn’t have drivers ed and you can’t get a license without it at 16. I don’t really need a car because there’s good public transport where I live, but I still wouldn’t mind getting a license.

Good luck in your talent show.

    Fondly,

    Jackie

Four inches?!? How tall are you? And I know what you mean about a nose job. I've always felt I've needed one too, but I've noticed some VS models/angels do not have perfect noses...so, it makes me feel a tad better. Who are your top 5 VS Angels?? Yea, I agree. I love dancing and I do hope to take classes soon. And of course I would love to help you pick your song! Just let me know the song choices. You should watch Harry Potter though....it is honestly the greatest movie series ever. I also really enjoy Transformers, Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and Alice In Wonderland. Those are pretty much my top "fantasy" movies. I also really love scary movies and "end of the world movies" like 2012, Armageddon and The Day After Tomorrow. Kpop? You sound like a couple of people I know. ^=^ Oh so you are homeschooled?!? That is flippen amazing. What made you decide you wanted to get homeschooled? And do your parents teach you or do you go through a computer program?

Oh no, Anna, I know you weren't making me get a Google + account or anything. I thought it would be fun because you liked it. What I don't understand is that some people under 18 seem to have + accounts, but it tells me I have to be 18. I've been trying to contact Google and complain but that's hard to do. It's no biggie though. I can still talk to you here.

And we like the same books too (sure you're not my sister or cousin or something). We read "Pride and Prejudice" last year and I loved it. I also saw the movie version with Colin Firth. You remind me of Elizabeth Bennett :D Oh, btw, I don't know if I told you this, but my sister Emma got a book for Christmas called "Death Comes to Pemberley." It's a sequel to Pride and Prejudice by the mystery writer P.D. James. I haven't read it, but it's got all the same characters. Emma is going to give it to me when she comes home for Easter. I also tread "Emma" and "Sense and Sensibility." I like Shakespeare too. He's still the greatest! We saw "Much Ado about Nothing" in December. Oh, and I saw last week that, in March, some theaters (we have an AFI theater in our town) are going to show the ballet version of "Romeo and Juliet." I can't wait for that. Do you ever read Dickens? Do you watch "Downton Abbey" on PBS?

I always liked to read and there aren't that many books for boys. Not many boys read Jane Austen I know that. But I love the way she writes. All the formalities and long letters and stuff. I preferred "Nancy Drew" to the "Hardy Boys" when I was a kid. I thought Nancy was neat.

That joke wasn't that bad!! (groan) But I did watch the video. I loved their outfits, including the "chain mail." The baseball bats were cute too. (confession: my sister is an awesome softball player but I'm terrible. Can't catch or throw!! Do you play any sports?). I didn't like the guns though. Kinda scary.

I never though about starting a fashion trend, but that's a great idea. I think most boys shorts are too long and loose. Actually, I sometimes buy girls shorts because they fit me better and come in better colors (I mean how much khaki and blue can a person wear?)

I didn't mean "deserve" like you were entitled to a Pnina dress or anything. It's just I know you would appreciate it much more than most girls, because you understand quality and style.

Oh we've been talking about models, but did you ever follow up on that business card for the agency you mentioned awhile ago? It's hard to do with school and all, but I still think you'd be great.

    Enjoy school (ha ha),

    Warmly,

    Your friend Jackie W.

Oh on the subject of ballet themes, I meant to share these links, but forgot:

Oh Anna, All those dresses were all so scrumptious once I figured out that I had to get a Kleinfeld's account to see them individually Until I did that, I just got linked to the first page of Pnina's dresses. FYI, my wedding date is supposed to be September 1, 2015 :D But somehow, I don't think the gowns are really me!!! (I can dream, though)

I really love the tulle sweetheart gown (#1). I agree about the bottom in #2, but didn't care for the gloves. Somehow, it made her look tattooed to me and a little "tough." And #3 is just so wonderfully classic, it would be perfect.

A ballet themed wedding would be something special. I could see the bridesmaids in pastel tulle knee length tutus and white tights. The problem might arise if your fiancee and his groomsmen weren't enthusiastic about donning tights, but you can persuade them I bet.

Okay, so I tried to use Google+ and got told I had to be 18 or over and unfortunately I have a gmail account where I used my right age. So, hmm any ideas? I guess i could delete my gmail account and start over since it's not my main email account.

Oh I meant to mention something. You had mentioned possibly getting married in a cathedral. That would be terrific but you better have a big guest list. Our parish church is the Cathedral of Saint Matthew in Washington and it's pretty massive. But there was awedding there that they showed on "Say Yes" a few months ago. I thin it was a marine officer or something.

Well, Miss Annabelle, since I think you’re right about most things (we agree on almost everything, so why not!),and since I can’t stand not being cool, I will open a new Google+ account and click on you again. I love poetry, especially the older poems by Poe and Emily Dickinson and Wordsworth. I write haikus every once in a while and might take a stab at something longer. Any inspirations welcome!

French flows so nicely off the tongue and sounds musical. I learned a bit of Irish when I was younger (My family is mostly Irish-American) but I always thought it sounded rough and guttural, like German. And of course French is the language of ballet and fashion too! Korean must be really hard. Is It like Chines and Japanese with ideographs instead of letters? And you’re the latest of my friends to tell me how into kpop you are. I mean I like “Girls Generation” because I love the way they dress and dance, but I haven’t quite got into it. So what is the main attraction for you? (other than cute Korean boys, that is :D). You’ll be the first to know when (if) I ever get brave enough to wear the hotpants outside the house! I’ve already got a taste of the reaction from my sister Jules and it wasn’t pretty! I would love to spend days with you hunting through vintage stores looking for great stuff at bargain prices. We would probably have lots of laughs, and trying on clothes without someone else who appreciates them is no fun at all.

And Pnina Tormai dresses are absolutely the best. Her little touches are just so unique. You deserve a Pnina dress. I see you as traditional but not princess. So when you meet that perfect someone, let me know and I will meet you at Kleinfeld’ to help you pick it out. But I swear I will only help, not monopolize. I hate it when friends and families try to impose their opinions on the bride, especially some of the guys they bring along. And they act like such sissies when they don’t get their way-- making faces and pouting. I promise I won't do that (well, I hope not anyway :D). The bride is the one who needs to love the dress, not her entourage. I don’t like the Atlanta show nearly as much as the New York one. And Monte is definitely not Randy. He seems to care more about his image where Randy really sincerely tries to help. He’s one of my role models.

Your list of models is hard to top. I mean Heidi Klum is still fabulous (she can say “auf wiedersehen” to me anytime and I’d obey instantly. Does she ever age at all? And Lily Cole is really great. I love redheads btw, must be my Irishness. And Mirtanda kerr is just breathtaking. I also like Lara Stone and Hailey Clausen.

Male models are tougher because they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, too effeminate for some people ! But I really like Brian Shimansky (looks a little like James Dean), Anrej Pejic, Simon Nesman, and Paul Boche.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at “Billy Elliot” with my friend Ricki. It was even better than I expected. But this has been much too long, so I’ll save the details until next time.

Omy posh gosh! I just saw a comment you left on Jackies page and you love koreans too!!! uhhh wonderful! I love Asians. Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese are my favorites. I watch mostly Korean dramas, but I love them all! Chinese ones are pretty cool too.
    Just had to say that.
    K-thnx buh bye! ^_^
