If you want to double your lifespan, there's a fascinating article about orally injesting carbon nanospheres (buckyballs or C60) dispersed into olive oil. It doubled the lifespan of some lab rats. Early guessing is that the carbon somehow absorbs toxins inside cells. The knee-slapper was that the researchers were testing C60 for toxicity. LOL!
Thanks for the add!!!!!
OMG, Isy that video was hilarious. When it started, I thought she was serious even though the foundation was a bit much. But after the 10th eye product and those horrible lips, I knew something was up. With all that makeup, she must've gained ten pounds. But I never thought about April Fool until the end. So hilarious. Thank you for sharing. I guess we've both been busy with school. Plus I applied for a summer job as a teacher at a dance/acting camp. Have an interview this weekend. Can you see moi teaching 10 year olds?
hello, happy to we have been friends
Ha ha, when I said the" wrong way," I mean the "legs" comment!! Some girls can be a little funny about compliments like that, but I know you understand what I mean when I compliment you. Better your mom's legs, than your dads :D I have two tests too but not major. We're going to the shore next weekend. I'm in a two day drama workshop. See, you knew I was a drama queeen!!! It actually only a little bit about acting, more about putting a production together. Good luck on the tests. I'm sure you'll do great and be well-dressed too.
Oh Isy, it was really a great video. I loved the way you laid it out with the "Jane" picture followed by the "Isy Look," And the accessories you picked were perfect, especially the jewelry and shoes. Although I do have to tell u that, after seeing the heels, I can tell why your feet hurt!!! But your taste in shoes, like in all the things you wear, is fabulous. And I totally agree that "look 5" was the best of all. I absolutely adore that skirt; it is just the cutest!! And the top and the belt are PURRRRFECT with it. I also liked the striped top and short jacket you wear in the final segment.
Please don't talk this the wrong way, but you are actually built a little like Jane and walk a little like her, BUT you have really gorgeous legs---better than Jane's. You really did a great job. Oh and I wanted to ask if it was okay if I "liked" your video and posted it on my Facebook wall?
Thanks sweetie. And I don't feel a day over 16 :D First driving test went pretty well I guess. No crashes anyway :D I was a little nervous but calmed down once I got going. It was just in our neighborhood so there was not much traffic. So that'll be the next .
challenge. Driving downtown is hard and the Washington Beltway is pretty near our house. But I'm not ready 4 that yet.
Putting makeup on when you're driving? Tsk Tsk!! In the US, some people text and use their iphones to ck email when they're driving. That should be a no no cause it's really dangerous. Right now, I'm concentrating 2 much to do any of that stuff. Thank goodness!
Your name is very pretty befitting an Egyptian Princess who is a leader. You're probably a descendant of Cleopatra :D So how did your family migrate from the mouth of the Nile to the southern tip of Africa. Must be an interesting story.
You're becoming a real videographer, aren't you? I'm pretty clumsy at making videos, but I can write scripts I guess. Look forward to seeing the finished product. I saw your question about wearing heels, but didn't attempt an answer since I have VERY limited experience. In fact, although I love the look of heels, the thought of wearing them keeps me happy with being a boy :D
yep got the message. thanks :)
Hi Isy, Got ur msg and just responded. I've been sooooo busy because I turned 17 on Saturday (but my profile age still shows 16??) I had lots of things going on. We went to the theatre on Friday and had a party at my aunts on Saturday night. Plus I had three tests this week!! Whew! I love your story about going grocery shopping and then buying clothes. The clothes will probably fit better because you have no groceries 2 eat :D. Don't feel strange though. I've done the same thing--going Christmas shopping and buying stuff 4 me.
I think your 'Jane' idea is really supper. Stick with the themes, not the individual pieces. You have such a smart sense of fashion. Knowing what's good on YOU is the hardest thing because we fall in love with an outfit on a model or a celeb who doesn't look like us at all :D. The biggest mistake I make sometimes is buying stuff that looks great on some muscular male model and makes me look like a little kid in his brother's clothes (I'm still looking for my first muscle :D That's not really true, my legs are pretty strong but my arms are pretty soft and flabby.
I got it :) i emailed you.
Hey Isy, I know how school can get you down sometimes but you seem to love your field, and nutrition is a really important subject. But u=you would excel in whatever you do. So you want a good breakfast first to build you up for the contest ahead. That's so cute! I admire serious shoppers. So when we go shopping, I'll look forward to breakfast first and coffee afterwards. And I promise to not butt in when you guys are talking about boys (well maybe just a bit :D). Trying things on is really important because something can look fabulous on a a manequin and just not work for you. The reason I take things home is that sometimes I buy clothes in girls' departments since girls shorts and tees seem to fit me better and more colorful. And it's a little hard to try them on in the store (most stores anyway).
I really agree about watching end-to-end to get the feel of the evening and everything. WE recorded the two shows on our DVR and watched them ab little later because that lets us fast forward through the commercials we don't like :p And YES coral is it. What an eye for color you have?? If you ever get tired of the nutrition field, you can become a color consultant :D. We'll have to shop together virtually for now since I can't come to South Africa and you can't come here too easily. What I like to do when I go shopping is to go to lunch afterwards and talk about all the bargains we got (my mom and older sister taught me about bargain hunting :D) and then go home and try things on (Confession: I sometimes will buy things I KNOW I'm going to return but I want to try them on at home before i finally decide. Do you do that?
I would so love to go shopping with you. That would be a real hoot. We could bring your sister too; she can carry all our packages :D Oh yeah, school is #1, definitely. But when you get some time, your videos are really getting good. I'm usually pretty happy but sometimes I get a little blue and wish I was someone else. But you're always so peppy and enthusiastic, you make me glad I am like I am :D
Oh I don't know how the time difference worked out, but did you see any of the Oscars? The awards were a little boring (although "The Artist" and "Hugo" won a lot and I liked both films). but the clothes were lovely. Lots of champagne colored gowns for some reason. But I loved the dress Michelle Williams wore. It was a a Louis Vuitton with a structured, backless bustier and a tiered skirt. She wore an adorable bow brooch on her right hip and carried a cute pink clutch, which gave the whole look a touch of whimsy. Here's one link, although the writer says her dress was orange, I saw it as red verging on fushia. It's hard 2 tell colors sometimes.

Ha ha, I can feel all that energy from Capetown!!!!! :D 75% off shoes: when's the next plane? The Video sounds like a great idea. Let's see what should we call it: "Isy by Design," Me Isy, you Jane!!" (pretty lame); "Jane and Isy go Shopping". Whatever the title, I can't wait for it.
Oh about the dream thing. The big difference is you dream about WEARING the clothes. I can only dream about ADMIRING them!!! :)))))) Not totally true, since I dream about boys clothes too. Love u sweetie; you always make me feel better when I'm feeling sorry for myself!!
Oh that look would be perfect for you because you have really nice legs and your hair is similar. Isn't it amazing how they mix patterns and it looks fabulous. The polka dot dress and the patterned hose are great together. And the red belt and pumps: absolutely to die for!! That's cute that you dream about the outfit. I thought I was the only one who did that? :D
