Hi sweetie -- so nice to hear from you. You're encountering the famous parental double standard. Sons get away with anything, but daughters are held to a double standard. Your brother sounds like a great guy though and super bright, even if your mom judges you too differently. I have two older brothers and it was the same way in our family. siggh. If I didn't like being a girl so much, I'd really be mad. . Tan is fading, but I still have some. I'm going to my Cape May, NJ (my parents beach house) for Thanksgiving. Finals are Dec 15-19. Then I'm going home to Baltimore for Christmas (only 35 miles away). Study hard and you'll do great, and don't worry about you mom. She loves you, but you are a daughter!! Love, Maeve P.S. Girls rule
Posted November 17, 2009thankyou so much for the help.
Posted November 02, 2009omg sweetie, I am like sooooo tan--best I've ever looked. Thank's so much for asking! Had a fabulous time--beaches are great and so are water slides and inner tube rapids. Also did a thing with the dolphins. We rubbed and kissed a dolphin names Hercules (I think I'm in love). Gave him a big smooch (lol). Only thing was the place we stayed--the Atlantis-- was uber-expensive, but since I wasn't paying I dn't worry too much. I hope the Physics test goes well; I'm rooting for you. Let me know how it goes.

Posted October 18, 2009You're so funny. I didn't say it, but you probably guessed that my cousin Brendan is also gay. He's so sweet, but kind of a sissy I guess; he is my all time BFF. I took Physics in high school, but never in college. I've read a lot about cosmology and stuff but strictly at the laygirl level with no math required. I know it can be really tough with all the map. Here's one site I found, but can't provide any endorsement. But you might give it a try. http://www.physicsclassroom.com/.
Posted October 18, 2009I'm not doing much this weekend, but tomorrow I'm going to the Bahamas with my parents and 16 yo cousin Deidre. (I have lots of cousins!) Should be a blast. I'll check in when I get back. Good luck in Physics.
That's funny about you grabbing bottles and tubes and running to your computer while your boyfriend laughs! I guess we are suckers for the next great product to make us gorgeous (why else would we be here?). (Most) guys could care less, although I have a cousin (he's my all-time BFF) who has more stuff in his bathroom than I do . I texted him the link to that website as soon as I saw it. Maybe when you get your doctorate, you'll figure it all out for us!
