This is one of the best facial masks I’ve ever used. My oily skin is a major problem and very few masks that I’ve tried even come close to unclogging my pores. My skin felt truly clean and detoxified after using this. Here is a description of what the mask can do for your skin, and how to use it…
Benefits of Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask by Body Shop:
Who should use the Ionic Clay Mask?
How to Apply Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask by Body Shop:
1. Steam pores to open
Take a hot shower or drape a towel over your head while holding it over a bowl of steaming hot water for 10 minutes
Wash face thoroughly with an exfoliating scrub to remove makeup and dead skin
4. Immediately Apply Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask
Using finger tips or a medium flat brush, apply the mask to entire face so that skin is no longer visible. Allow for ½ to 1 inch space around lips and eyes.
Some tingling sensations will be present. This just means the mask is drawing out toxins. If you feel a very harsh burn, your skin may be too sensitive for the mask. In this case, wash it off your face with cool water.
Pat warm water onto your face to soften the mask. Using circular, upward motions, rinse away the mask. Press upwards near areas with large pores to force out any remaining plugs
Apply a dollop of cleanser to the body glove and scrub face to remove remaining mask and debris that emerged from pores
Toners without alcohol are best; look for Tea Tree or PH Balanced Toners
Overview of Results:
I’m in LOVE with this mask! Its ionic content promises to draw out impurities, and it does. You can actually see the mask absorbing oil from your pores as it dries. After the mask has been removed, gently press upwards on the skin wherever your pores are largest, and you will see even more debris come to the surface. I used this method on my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead – so much gunk came out, it was rather disturbing to know all of this was hiding in my pores! My skin felt so refreshed and clean after using this mask. I would recommend this to anyone who has to deal with oily, acne prone skin.
