Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Selling Home for $49 Million

Two of the most appreciated women in Hollywood are opening the doors to their homes to Architectural Digest. Take a peek at Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's Beverly Hills home which hit the market recently for a cool $49 million.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi are finally giving us a glimpse of their amazing home in Beverly Hills through the help of Architectural Digest. The duo have a real passion for real estate and their properties are simply amazing and super spacious. The amazing couple shares with the November issue of the magazine which hits the stands this month the amazing celebrity house they are placing on the market.

Ellen admits that she has lost track of the number of properties she bought over the years, but she'll probably not forget this amazing 9 bedroom and 11 bathroom mansion which sits on 2.87 acres and even has its own street.

The Beverly Hills mansion is now listed for sale for a whopping price of $49 million, so if you have this money just laying around, it's time to think about making an investment. Ellen and her wife Portia have extended the property by buying, with time, surrounding properties. Now the mansion even has an amazing koi carp lake that creates a feeling of peace and serenity.

The one level mansion is designed with great taste and has a very homey, welcoming feel. Ellen told the magazine in an exclusive interview that she and her family never owned a home when she was growing up and that when she started making money from her career in the entertainment industry, she bought a house and then some. Ellen said:
“We never had a house when I was growing up. We always rented. But my father would dream, and we used to look at houses all the time. I’d pick out which bedroom would be mine and get all excited.
The first thing I did when I made money was buy a house. And then...” Portia de Rossi steps in as says:
“Another one. And another one and another one and another one...”
