I wouldn't recommend oil-based. It can clog your pores unless you have really fantastic skin and you don't really need it if your skin is normal to dry. Go for an oil free nourishingn cream that is lightweight and hydrating. I really like neutrogena ultra gentle soothing cream. . Its meant for sensitive skin but its great for non-sensitive skin as well.

Water base is a good moisturizer,Even skin care online sites recommend them.They keep your skin soft.Don't over do it thou.
