I need ideas for up and down do's and how to do them!

right now i have shoulder length light brown straight hair

I have had long quite blond wavey hair, I have recently cut it to shoulder length and attempted to dye part of it (golden brown) it didnt come out to well even though it was the colour suggusted to use and that it should work well on bright blond hair now im not sure what colour to go?

my hair is thick and wiry, in the picture (if it loads this time...) i let my hair dry in braids, so its not as poofy as it normally would be. im looking for a medium-shoulder length cut.

I feel like I wear my hair to school the same everyday basically just down. My hair is brown and a little longer then shoulders leghth it is also all one length. I usally leave it down b/c I just don't know what to do with it any ideas. Thanks!
