No form of psychological abuse is acceptable, you deserve to be with someone who treats you with at least as much respect that they give themselves. If you consider what was said to be meant in a hurtful manner (that it was not said in jest) then you may want to consider if this behaviour is acceptable, and whether you want to remain with someone who would treat you in this way.
