I would suggest you visit : http://everyday-vk.livejournal.com/ and see how westerners incorporate visual kei into their style and hair.. I guess. I prefer gyaru styles as well as dolly kei and lolita more ...but I think E-VK is a good start. You should consider how you will manage and upkeep your hair: volume, holding gel/spray if you want to actually style it one day, because visual kei really looks nice when it's style or fits whatever style they are going for imo..
These are some I like from that page...VK relies on a lot of layers, it helps you to add dimension to the hair and make the dyes interesting...well, the more elaborate vk styles. I have not encountered bob length vk hair...then again, this isn't my forte, and I don't really seek it out you know? Good luck >: Hope you get inspired..
