I think you should definitely insert a few bright colored style items into your outfit...it makes your clothing style so versatile...check out these outfit ideas....

I think bright colors go great with neutral colors during the winter as well with the summer. I don't know why I just think it looks fantastic. Like in the picture link you have posted with your question, I think that bright yellow goes great with those white jeans and they would also go great with black jeans as well. :)

Brights and neutrals look amazing together especially during the winter time as people usually wear dark and dull colours because it's cold but adding a bright colour would look amazing as its just a splash of colourfulness

If your having a very casual day brights are okay but I'd stick to dark colors, neutrals and cool color, but that's my opinion.
