I also have short layered hair I normally spray it with hairspray and shake my head really fast. Occasionally I will pull the top up with Bobby pins I have grown out side bands that are about to my nose sometimes I just switch the side I part my hair on. U could always put a flip in ur hair (kinda like alices from twilight)
