Comin' up with ideas is the hardest thing about writing for me too. Once I get the idea, it's easy from there. One thing I do is just make a list of things you like a lot and then pick one general idea. Then work that down into specifics and then write a topic sentence. Here's a dumb example, but it might help:
So you make your list and pick up the topic "clothes. Then you break that down into parts, like "shoes," skirts," "tops," scarfs, etc. and pick one of those. So say you then pick "skirts." Then maybe you could come up with two topic sentences, one for a story and another for an essay. Like this:
Fiction: "Sarah and Emma go shopping for a skirt." talk about planning the trip, maybe checking things out online first, getting there (what happened on the bus), picking out some skirts, trying them on, laughing about it, etc. Then finish up with the first time you wear it and how everyone's like, "oh that's so cute!!"
Essay: This is less fun but you can talk about how to pick a skirt, size, length, etc. How to shop (always with a friend if possible). It's helpful advice to other girls.

well hello beautiful people (: i LOVE to write but i never know what to write about, i was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas? i like almost anything, im into the hunger games, twilight series, generation dead, go ask alice, etc (: oh and i have 110 friends :D (not nessecary info but it makes me happy :D )
