For start I will go for light brown or blonde underneath..Can't decide between this two :)

Should I dye my hair blonde?
I have naturally dark brown (curly) hair and I really want to do something different, but my job doesn't allow crazy colors like I want so I figured the next best thing would be to go lighter. Should I go all blonde, blonde underneath, blonde on top, or should I go light brown, OR just leave it alone. Also I'm doing this myself because I don't have a lot of money and I'm mot good at doing highlights or anything like that so keep it simple :)
