Hiiiiiii! As long as the acne isn't really heavy, it's a good choice. It does seem to work for breakouts or light acne. But doesn't do much for scars. I'd give it a try especially cause a doctor recommended it. But I'm not sure there's much different between male and female skin. It's just that most people with acne have oilier than average skin.
