Hiiiiiii! As long as the acne isn't really heavy, it's a good choice. It does seem to work for breakouts or light acne. But doesn't do much for scars. I'd give it a try especially cause a doctor recommended it. But I'm not sure there's much different between male and female skin. It's just that most people with acne have oilier than average skin.

Jackie is right, the only real difference between male and female skin is that males hold more collagen in your skin for a longer amount of time, whereas collagen depletion starts at around 21 or so for females xP Other than that, there really is no difference, males can use female products and vice versa. I haven't looked into the ingredients, but rest-assured if a specialist reccommended it, it probably should work for you, if not, then you just need to find the source for the acne whether it be due to a hormonal imbalance or genetic, etc
