I used it after I had highlights a while ago and it lightened all of my hair and made it shinier and made my highlights brighter. But because of the acid in lemons it makes your hair pretty dry. It just depends on how much you use and how long you lay out.

Hi Seville , Let me know your hair type as Lemon Juice contains citric acid not advisable for dry hairs.

yes, I actually have dry hair. but if lemon juice makes highlights look brighter I would use it,and then I can put some moisturizing mask so it wouldn't be damaged too much.

I've tried it but it didn't work on my hair, which is frizzy. i'm considering trying a spray like sun-in (I haven't tried yet because i just dip died my hair) which you can buy at a drug store. my friend used it and it looked really good on her, but she has light hair. on the back of the bottle, it shows what your color hair should become if you use it. hope that helps! xoxo
