It's possible to tattoo over scar-tissue. It wont make the scar go away of course, but covering it isnt a problem. Just make sure you always go to a good professional studio !!!

I agree with Osaka but consulting a dermatologist first before having a tattoo on your scar will be a better idea. You can speak with Dr. Schweiger, an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center about that.

Ok, so back in December I let the guy I was with give me a tattoo...it wasn't professional, it was one of those homemade ones (I know its not smart). But all the ink except for 3 little dots came out of it, and when I turn 18 in April I want to get it fixed. The only problem is that there is a heart shaped scar of the tattoo on my arm, and I am wondering if it is safe/possible to get a new tattoo over it, or if I have to live with the scar for the rest of my life. Again, I know it was a stupid decision, but I would really appreciate some advice...
