Yeah...it would be a bad move to cheat on your boyfriend...take it as a compliment and thank him for what he said...you can anwer him with an 'I like you too....aaaaas a friend!' type sentence...it worked for me....

The most important part of any relationship, whether it is platonic or romantic is communication. I would suggest therefore that you talk with your friend, find out what his true feelings for you are. If his feelings for you have changed recently try to address why this is so. It might be uncomfortable to discuss this but it is absolutely necessary for you to have all the facts before making a decision. There is no denying that all of us share an intimate relation to our closest friends and that through escalation of relationships this may result in a romantic feeling of attraction. If it is indeed the case that both of you have begun to form a romantic attachment, then take as much time as you need to weigh up whether continuing that would be a wise decision. Any person whom you consider a friend will surely give you time for that. If you decide that you are more attracted to your friend that your boyfriend then it would be wise to understand why this is so. What does your friend have that your boyfriend doesn't, would a relationship based on these things be long lasting, better than with your current boyfriend? Could you still remain friends if you ever separated? As with any serious decision of matters related to the heart I suspect that there is a great deal of apprehension in facing your feelings, remember to keep yourself true to your own beliefs and ultimately strive to make yourself happy over everyone else. I've watched this happen over and over, best friend likes best friend, start to date, lose friendship , break up, gone forever. It's so much better to be friends until your'e mature enough, and sure enough to go for it, when you know you know when to say, stop, this is going to fast. But you need to talk to him, and tell him the truth. Hey, I like you a bit too, but, you know I have a boyfriend, and I value our friendship too much too take the chance.
