It seems Rihanna is switching her attention from fashion to makeup as the Grammy award singer has just signed a deal with MAC Cosmetics to create four fab makeup collections titled RiRi Hearts MAC. Find out more about the products!
The Rihanna for MAC makeup collection is finally
happening! MAC Cosmetics tapped Rihanna for a makeup collection
collaboration and the entertainer said that her decision to venture
off into the world of makeup design alongside MAC has been 'a
no-brainer' as she's been a fan of the go-to-brand when it comes to
professional makeup for quite a while.
“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for
something legit — is MAC. Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s
go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was
a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said
that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand”, said
Rihanna in an interview with WWD and it seems that the brand's
creative team has the same respect for Rihanna as the brand has
signed an agreement with the Barbadian diva that will lead to the
development of not one, not two but four makeup collections that
will be launched throughout 2013.
Apparently, Rihanna has been a hand-on collaborator with MAC in the
creation process of the makeup products included in the upcoming
collections as the singer says that she likes to express her
creativity through music, makeup and fashion. Now, we've already
seen her take on style featured in the new Rihanna for River
Island SS 2013 collection and now excitement runs high as the
Grammy-award winning singer is set to wow her fans with an array of
fierce and fabulous makeup products that aim to compliment all skin
tones.
Whether she reached her goal, we can't say for sure quite yet as
the first products signed RiRi Hearts MAC - this will be the title
of all four collections to be launched- will reach its target
starting this May. Apparently, MAC will open a stand at Rihanna's
concerts held in 4 May in Brooklyn before making the collection
available for online purchase and later on available in
stores.
So, what should we expect from the upcoming MAC Rihanna makeup
collaboration? The RiRi Woo lipstick inspired by the singer's MAC
favorite red lip color, the Ruby Woo lipstick, a shade that Rihanna
wanted to make her own all while making sure this is a color that
compliments all skin tones. The lipstick will be featured in all
four makeup collections meaning this is 'la pièce de résitance' of
the collaboration.
Rihanna's MAC summer 2013 makeup collection will also
include two other lip color shades, a Lustre Drops pigment and a
pressed powder duo blusher. The singer's MAC lineup is said to
include four fab lip color shades, an intense pigmented lipglass to
match the RiRi Woo lipstick, various eye color shades and falsies.
For the holiday season, the collection expands to include another
10 makeup products ranging from nail polish to makeup bags, so be
sure to keep an eye on the RiRi Hearts MAC collections as the
products will probably fly off the shelves!
