I think you're right to go shorter and, while I love pixie cuts, I think you would definitely look much better in something fuller and poufier. I don't think really straight hair is the best style for you. (I would even think seriously about a perm or body wave on the top not on the sides) Regardless of the style you pick eventually, consider using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner that will make your hair look fuller and slenderize your face. Looking at the style in the picture on the left, I think an asymmetrical part would look much better than the center part because it adds interest and allows you to go with or without bangs for a little variety.
Anyway, here are a few ideas that would look really cute. Good luck hun :)))

What style haircut should I get?
I'm not a big fan of getting my hair cut due to having an oval face, but it's also round (chubby/pudgy) so because of this, finding a style that will look nice on me is difficult. I like short cuts because they're easier to deal with as I'm very low maintenance. Due to the shape of my face though, I'm leery of doing a real short cut (pixie cut). Also, I have rather thick hair that about half way down does this single wave from constantly tucking my hair behind my ears to keep it out of my face and out of my food (I dislike pulling my hair back...incredibly dislike it). I've attached a couple of pictures, one of what my hair looks like when straightened (which I've started doing regularly now) and what it normally looks like. Any suggestions would be great and helpful!
Thanks!!!
