to go to purple from pink u dont have to bleach it. its light enough to go over. and as for a brand. i like punky colors for purple it last really long and smells really good. plus its good for your hair. and if u do decide to bleach your hair go to sallys and get clairol basic white with 30 vol. developer

i usually just bleach it myself and section it off to make sure i dont miss but it would be easier if you had someone to help
