Well in Cosmetology terms, thickness normally depends on exactly how much hair strands there are per square inch in your scalp (Let's not start counting...)
But a good way to know if your hair is thick, med or thin is simply by tying it up in a hair band...
If you can wrap the band around your hair 4+ times, then your hair is thin, if you get 3 in there, then is medium, And if you wrap the band two times and it feels tight (My sister) then you have thick hair.
Thickness and texture of hair are often confused... The texture is what is referred as Curly, Wavy or straight.
