Your last question was about hair loss....I would suggest you first focus on getting your hair back to it's old thickness. Usually scene hair cuts (which these are , I repeat, these are not punk) tend to thin out the hair by adding layers. If your hair is already thin, it won't look nice.

But to answer your question, the best thing to do once your hair is healthy and in top shape for these cuts is to bring in a picture or multiple pictures to your salon. The pictures will show them how you want the bangs to look like, the sides, etc. Pictures say a thousand words, and often times, trying to explain it to an salon worker who is not used to seeing the style leads you to very bad results.
